A little orange bricking on the edge, this lovely aromatic 25-year-old Chateauneuf seems mature and ready to drink, still shows lively acidity which nicely lifts the red fruited flavors, good weight, lingering finish, should pair beautifully with the bison ribeye I will soon be grilling!! — 2 months ago

Very fine representative of Cote blends… — 3 months ago
Where do I begin… this wine is stunning.
It is positively golden in color with concentrated notes of caramel, butterscotch, vanilla, creme brûlée, dried apricot, yellow apple, peach, nectarine, yellow cherry, kumquat, baked quince, lemon curd, honeysuckle, butter cream, lavender,, dried herbs, fennel, beeswax, honey, chamomile, hazelnut, praline, honey, & wet stones…
It’s textured!!! Waxy & mouth coating, full bodied, round, & opulent.
Alcohol is high at 14.5% ABV — it’s warming but balanced and integrated with the deeply rooted flavors and elevated, vibrant acidity. Yum!!!!!

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of dinner which lasted a couple do hours. The 2015 pours a deep ruby/purple color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of powerful ripe red and dark fruit: black brambles, dark cherries, black pepper, boozy Christmas fruitcake, licorice, garrigue, leather and rocky earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with sneaky medium+ tanning that build with air. The acid is there too although I wouldn’t call it the main character. It does, however, play a strong supporting roll. Definitely a wine of texture. It has been a handful of years since my last bottle of the 2015 and it’s evolving very nicely! Secondary flavors are starting to show and everything remains balanced. Extended air did get it to freshen up a bit so I’d say this still has a long life ahead. Drink now with a healthy decant and through 2035. — 9 months ago
Nice spice, great Syrah. — 21 days ago
Reddish in color with a wide reddish rim.
Fruity nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing raspberries, fresh cherries, light oak, spices, chocolates, coffee and black pepper.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a delicious Grenache from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.
Still young, but already drinking beautifully. Easy drinking right out of the bottle, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.
Robert Parker 93 points.
I've had a few vintages of this wine, and this vintage is absolutely fantastic. The high alcohol is well integrated already.
Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.
A blend of 85% Grenache, 5% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre and 5% local varieties.

I initially expected more based on vintage + producer, but also have to keep context in focus that this is Crozes-hermitage.
Followed over two days and very little changed.
I’m surprised at saying that after 48hrs for a C-H…I think this is in a weird phase/shut down. Powerful/heady aromatics (black fruits, olive, espresso). ABV pokes out a bit up front. Good mid-palate weight with peppered dark fruits, herbs and some iron before a curtain of tannin shuts this down hard. Undeniably Syrah at the finish with a rusticity I normally find in Cornas…dark florals, spice, graphite and some charcoal. A serious and structured C-H. — 3 months ago

Amazing! Fruity yet not too sweet. Medium body. Easy to drink — 5 years ago

Dream. Herbs. Game. Fruit. — 7 years ago

Still displaying the youth and vitality of a much younger wine, its black fruit appearance is dark and dense, the confirming perfumed aromatics and dark fruit flavors are still quite primary, and its structure is solid with ample fruit, light acidity, and supporting, chalky tannins at the long mouth coating finish. Definitely in its Golden Years. (Should be ideal with tonight’s Soy marinated Rack of Lsmb.)

1989 vintage. Decent fill and cork. Not decanted. Powdery, not chunky, sed. Tasted after 3.5 hours open. Light-medium body. Nose and flavors kept up the intensity in complete harmony. Special. Well-stored examples should yield similar pleasure for another 5-6 years. 03.29.25. — 7 months ago
Upfront and transparent and confrontational. Strong posture. Wears a leather jacket in the summer. Blood and rust and repressed tears and a grainy black and white western. Cigarettes that he rips the filter off of to make them stronger. — 7 years ago
