Bürgel Spätburgunder 2020
After drinking mainly Bordeaux and Rioja over the christmas period this was much lighter. Nose of cherries, raspberries, tar and orange peel. Palate was similar but needed more air to catch up. Elegant and balanced. Paired excellently with roast duck legs, orange sauce and roast potatoes. — 6 days ago

Beautiful wine that I have never tried before. Still very lively for being 31 years old with a strong tannic backbone. Drunk blind I was convinced this was a Barolo 🤦...didnt cover myself in glory with that guess! Served with steak, bernaise and french fries — 11 days ago
Sounds amazing — last Lafleur I had was the 1983 (but in 1987)!! Great Pomerol!!
31 years and, I assume based on your guess , still strong tannin structure. Merlot continues to amaze and surprise.
