One of our absolute favourite producers. Much less fruit this time trying with a more pronounced tar and tire flavour. Paired well with lamb — a month ago
Second time drinking this and preferred it this time. Sour granny smith apple with a bit of honey and green tee. This was really enjoyable and i loved drinking this next to the bbq. — a month ago
Had this for the first time last year. Has improved since then gaining depth in flinty minerality. Pineapple has given way to lemon and honeydew. Great wine from one of the best producers in the Pfalz! — 2 days ago
Enjoyed this much more than the last time. Dark berries and just silky smooth. Very impressive — 8 days ago
Tropical fruits and bracing acidity. Love pretty much all the Knipser wines — a month ago
Smells like berries and herbs...blind I would have said 100% pinot noir. Taste...so well balanced and refined. Meat notes, roasting spit fire and more berries...redcurrants and cranberries. Was absolutely nothing like I was expecting. I think there is a persisting opinion here in europe that american wines are big and brash flavour bombs but this is nothing like that...refined and elegant. Cut through and paired excellently with roast duck legs! — a month ago
Super fruity and easy to drink. Warm day, smoked trout on the grill and a glass of this in your hand...good times!!! — 7 days ago
Fruity and acidic. Paired well with black cod — 14 days ago
Yummy! Paired this up with a cowboy steak and loved every mouthful of both. Ripe berries, plum and leather. Just delicious!!! — a month ago

Interesting wine. The nose is quince and citrus peel, tastewise there is almond, orange peel and beeswax. The only thing holding this back from greatness is a massive 16% alcohol. Brutal aftertaste that makes this more like an after dinner schnapps! After one glass i was staggering to the kitchen to make dinner. Bit of a shame but still a good wine. — 3 hours ago
