Time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a delicious one.
Deep inky in color with a short purple rim.
Fruity nose of black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, vanilla, light vegetables, herbs, tobacco leaf, spices, graphite, peppercorn, pencil lead, dark coffee and earth.
Full bodied and bold with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, coffee, peppercorn, light vegetables and pencil lead.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a delicious Napa Cabernet. Showing great complexity and mouthfeel. Big and bold, rich and opulent.
Balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food. A great wine from a great vintage, with great potential.
Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up (2 hours).
Robert Parker 92 points.
Drinking very nicely now and will be even better in the next 5 years.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats, cheeses and light appetizers.
A blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 3% Malbec. Aged in (81% new) French oak barrels.

Strawberry, black cherry, red plum, even a touch of game. Ripe and rich on the palate with enough acidity and a touch of bitterness to balance. Big and bold for a rosé but executed so well. A red wine lover's rosé. — 12 days ago
2017. Opened on 9/10/2020. Amazing value. Rich bold blend with long finish. — 4 days ago
Bold yellow color, very active big bubbles with
toasty, funky aroma. Very rich, not fruity, tastes like the lees, lots of yeasty fermentation, transports me back to a damp cold cellar in france — 7 days ago
Had the pleasure to taste the 13’ bottling of this Petite Sirah leading blend about a year ago, and this time around it’s better than I can remember.
The delicious black and blue fruits are bold but not really jammy. Graphite, cedar, dark chocolate, and hint of cigar box. Deep and rich palate, with harmonious finish.
Has the stuffing to improve with further aging.

Clean but lingering finish with the perfect balance of tannins. Solid wine and perfect for sipping or with a nice bold dinner! — 13 days ago

This is a wonderful Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. Showing a great mouthfeel with great complexity.
Still young and will age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.
Rich and fruit forward. Nicely balanced, smooth, elegant and spicy. The spices hang on well after the long finish.
Delicious right out of the bottle with firm tannins that ease up, as it opens. I gave it a couple of hours in a decanter.
