this was great - i tend to roll the dice with wines from Uruguay w/mixed results but this over achieved: deep ruby opaque wafting impressive black & red fruit, deep rich generous, along with typical CF medley of cracked pepper, herbaceous, and some bell pepper notes. Traditional yet w/New World exuberance this was balanced & polished on palate, med bodied harmonious med tannins & acidity leading to lingering finish. Bump for QPR — 8 days ago

QPR out the wazoo - really delicious as a wine, but does not speak to Chianti. Mass produced for the crowds, smooth well- balanced and dare I say somewhat elegant: definitely fruit forward with oozing dark brooding berried fruit & cherry galore, vanilla & gentle subtle spice. last had the '21, this is solid, consistent & indicative of this hi quality winery: inky completely opaque brooding oozing black fruit & spice, peppery, hint of vanilla, mild oak, huge extraction here just bordering on overkill. Huge & fleshy on midpalate, chewy tannins - suave but not a ton of finesse, this is built for power. Felt the heat on finish but this was thoroughly enjoyable — 7 days ago
