love Dolcetto from Dogliani and Einaudi is a quality producer but this was somewhat harsh and underwhelming. red fruit, dried herbs, earthy but lacked balance & finesse — 2 days ago

And here I naively always thought that Dolcetto was a sweet red wine until we tried it earlier this year when we stayed in Dogliani, the heart of Dolcetto. Met with the wine store manager in the basement of the Cathedral where he runs his wine store of the wine cooperative members. The wide variety amazed me. From very dark earthy almost full bodied wines to just the lightest fruity wine. Was just a nice experience after exploring all the heavy duty Nebiolo wines and the more simple, often single note fruity Barbera wines. Cheers.

$21 at Walmart of all places: inky dense rich - needed 2 hrs to unfurl to show complexity that is PS: coffee & tobacco, licorice and oh so peppery, herbs, and all manner of red & black fruit + cassis & vanilla. luscious dense plenty of stuffing, polished & suave on mid palate leading to lingering finish. still plenty of life ahead, definitely felt ABV tho — 13 days ago

pretty good, WS raved about this - not sure it lives up to the hype: have had this many times over the years, reliable quaffer field blend from Banfi, they probably made tens of thousands of cases — 8 days ago

quintessential RRV Chard, not bashful w/oak & malo, but not overly done or clumsy. $15 on closeout from Walmart of all places: oxidized yellowish color, some grilled tropical fruit, potpourri, dried orange rind, musky, buttered popcorn, silky & big on palate, little oily, little viscous, more oxidized flavors leading to lingering pleasant finish. New producer to me, excellent value — 11 days ago
