Showed a muddled ruby, some bricking, very mature nose of red fruits, garrigue, leather, earth , hoisin, mushroom, & grandma's attic. this showed its age & then some - med bodied on palate, decent cut, like a fine old tweed suit but on the decline and probably wasn't particularly fashionable in its heyday. — 7 days ago

had a similar experience as @Peter Sultan as far as finding this was a quixotic blend of Old World and New World - nose & palate was not at all reticent for us: there was such a purity of flavors & aromas from deep rich black fruit, cassis, minerals, meat, pepper... so legit - not a hair out of place, — 19 days ago
Exactly!@ESF it’s….neat, as you said it. Which can cut both ways, especially if you want something more wild from northern syrah.
