ask the wine guy for something unusual, something off the beaten path and he recommends this delicious dry 100% Palomino w/some bottle age: definitely a food wine, light greenish straw color w/fairly austere nose full of minerals, lanolin, herbaceous musk, white flowers (jasmine), ginger & some spices. on palate it is rigid & angular, zesty acidity, some citrus but mostly minerals & herbs, quinine, screams for briny foods - we had this w/deli section fare & salad. — 4 days ago
impressive: lacked the Priorato terroir that i love, but this was a well balanced, generous field blend that belied the age on the bottle. inky, deeply opaque, wafting aromas of black & red fruit, exotic herbs & spices, herbaceous and deeply layered, complex, engaging, on palate it was polished, balanced, integrated tannins and smooth voluptuous finish. — 12 days ago
very pleasant, elegant, all kinds of cherry, raspberry and red currant on nose, some red florals, spice and an herbal note. great varietal typicity w/out carbonics - legit, classic style, has many more years ahead, mild tannins and decent acidity make this versatile for food options — 11 days ago

had this over a year ago and it's noticeably better, more defined fruit & secondary notes, opulent, rich smooth - so consistent year in year out, this will rock for a decade or so — 3 days ago
