A wine that captures the history of the Malbec grape’s journey to Argentina and this historic producer. Dark purple/black color. Intense aromas and flavors of black currant, blackberries, ripe blueberries, dark chocolate, baking spices, tobacco, dried purple flowers and minerals. Salty blueberry note on the finish. Rich and intense but not cloying and heavy. Even at its young age, quite soft and easy drinking. Stunning! Thanking Alex L. For bringing this outstanding bottle. — 10 days ago
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (44%), Carmenere (39%), Syrah (11%), Petite Verdot (4%) and Cabernet Franc (2%). Dark ruby/purple color. Very funky aromas of must, red and black fruit along with a heavy dose of fresh poblano pepper. Ripe red and black fruit on the palate with notes of black coffee and spices. Rounded tannins and good length. Solid value. Thank You for sharing, Chris B! — 11 days ago
Interesting combination of varietals. Light straw color. Aromas and flavors of peach, white flowers, nectarine and honey. Pretty well balanced and a bit of an oily texture. Long finish. Crisp and clean. — 4 days ago

Not the same as the “good old Charles Smith Days,” but not bad. Medium ruby color with a garnet rim. Aromas and flavors of raspberry, lavender flowers, fresh herbs and a pleasantly peppery finish. Pretty bold and rich. Excellent QPR. Thanks for sharing, Chris B! — 11 days ago
This is actually the Castillo de Emeriz Garnacha Rose’. (Though it does come from Spain’s Navarra Region.) Very light pink color. Intensely floral (white flowers) on the nose with hints of red berries and orange zest. Pallet features strawberries and red currant flavors with a touch of vanilla. Lots of minerality on the finish. Nice balance of acidity and alcohol. Lively, with just a bit of heft. Crushable. — 8 days ago
Tuscan Syrah stunner! Dark ruby/purple color. Nose is full of ripe black cherry/berry/currant fruit along with notes of black licorice, baking spices, wood and dried herbs. Palate is more black/blue berry fruit focused with the wood, dark chocolate spices, tobacco and dried herbs also showing through. Long “gamey” and slightly peppery finish with beautifully integrated and velvety tannins. Full bodied. Lovely combination of balance and strength. Outstanding! Thanks for sharing this one, Kase! — 10 days ago
