Dark rubi robe, nose of dark cherries, cocoa, blackcurrant, cedar, asian spices and wood spice. Very elegant and same time bold in the mouth, complex, good length. This is classical claret at its best. Was decanted 45 minutes before our fois gras and Simmental steak was served. Great stuff. Was our Mother’s day meal. — 2 months ago
Medium dark rubi robe with a slight fading on the rim, hints of brick. Nose of anise and blackcurrant with notes of flowers and top soil.
It’s medium bodied and long in the mouth, in a cistercian way, very reticent, in contrast with the robe.
Its a truly nice bottle of classical Vosne and there is probably no rush to drink. Not an exuberant Vosne by any means so not for those who prefer more demonstrative wines. — a month ago

Bottle was a little bit off but still an excellent wine in an underrated vintage. The better crust like Ducru Beaucaillou have done much better in 2001 than in 2000. This is so evident these days. Classical vintage and starting to get accessible now. — a month ago
