Consistent with prior tastings, great port. — 2 months ago
Had it with friends. Dark rubi robe, nose of blackcurrant, spices and cherries. Very powerful and also elegant, this is great now but has lots of potential, say 5 to 7 years. We liked it a great deal and are looking to buy. — 2 months ago
We clearly had better bottles on the 2 cases we polished over the years. But was still great claret. Those who think St Estephe is rustic need to try Montrose 1970. All about finesse and elegance. Thank you NY ! — a month ago
Was a bit syrupy in the nose, but other than that a really good bottle. — 2 months ago
Rich and baroque, but good acidity and balance. Truly good for the money. — 2 months ago
Oh soo elegant and soo good. Consistent with other bottles in spite a mid shoulder level and a cork past its expiration date :) — a month ago
A gift from friends.

The wine of the vintage !
Consistent with prior tastings.
Cedar, blackcurrant, dark cherries and anise, very complex and elegant, very very long. This is great stuff. — 2 months ago
Very dark rubi robe, nose of asphalt, cedar wood and blackcurrant. Very elegant and polished tannins with lots of dark fruits. Top notch stuff. Give it another couple of years or decant prior to drink. — 2 months ago
Alexandre Pagliano
For our last week in NY before moving back to Paris, we decided to taste some favorites. This one was royal, stunning, and starting to open up. Probably great in 3 to 5 years, but accessible and excellent as we speak. — a month ago
