This is one of the first few vintage of what is now known as Les Perrières de Lafleur. It has a clear frame of cabernet to it with the dark fruit, tobacco and leather notes. Round, medium bodied, balanced and punches above its price point. Drinks excellent now. — 16 days ago
This is a left bank done with over 80% of merlot and it shows. Still its a medoc wine and has all the tell tale soil notes together with some great and velvety tanins. Top stuff for the price point and they normally age really well. We liked it a great deal. — a month ago
Not an easy vintage for anyone in bordeaux. This is very elegant and understated with this sophisticated blend of Merlot and the cabernets. Right bank meets left bank and is a good cross. One of the last vintages of the old regime at Figeac and highly recommended !! — 19 days ago
Oh, so good. Elegant, fresh, complex, more Barsac than Sauternes. Very exotic too with flowers and spices.
If you are into Sauternes or Barsac buy a case or two, it does not get much better than this. Fantastic now but no rush. — 7 days ago
The style is rich and very extracted, with a dense, thick and spiced mouth. After 15 years it has a more balanced register and less marked by the wood. We would prefer a more elegant register but this is really good stuff. — 14 days ago
Drouhin did some phenomenal wines in these lesser years of 2012 to 2014. This is among the best we tasted. Ver bright rubi red robe, oriental spices and violets on the nose, very fine tanins and an ever so slightly rustic finish that added to the quality and personality of this cuvée. We loved it and enthusiastically recommend it. — 20 days ago
