consistently excellent. everything i want in a riesling. — a month ago
crunchy, grippy, lively, red fruit forward grenache. really well done. very balanced and absolutely delicious. — 2 months ago
classic and gorgeous expressive barolo nose. heavy on the tar, rich bouquet of flowers / rose petal, ripe red fruit, some savory leafy quality like basil. on the palette this is still a younger 15 year old wine , fruit is fresh and tannins are young and grippy. a lot of that savory leafy / foresty quality. expressive and classic with 1 hour decant but wondering if day 2 will bring more complexity. — 4 days ago
first time trying. gave it a couple hours in the decanter. still young and probably will improve with more bottle age. on the bulky side for beaujolais - heavier mouthfeel and less acidic than i was expecting. really rich flavors, very earthy and nice peppery and herbal element. very delicate red fruit profile. good stuff. — a month ago
needs an hour to blow off some extra flab. once it opens up it’s a very nice chianti. red fruit - savory herbs - dusty quality - very light touch of mint or eucalyptus. very solid. — 2 months ago
did not enjoy this wine. would not recommend. — 6 days ago
one of the most memorable bottles of old bordeaux i’ve had. 36 years old and in a perfect drinking window. the leather, tobacco leaf, cigar box, tannin is all light and delicate at this point. hard to describe in words but just a beautiful bottle, really a pleasure to drink. — a month ago
lovely bottle of old riesling. rich golden raisin color in the glass. primary fruit and acid has completely receded in favor of dried fruits and peels. dried peach, gold raisins, orange peel, lemon peel, etc. the sugar stands out here because the acid is gone. — a month ago
