Unbeatable location and excellent wine list, this one jumped off the page at us. Not surprising as it was our wine of the year in 2022. It’s back with a vengeance in 2024, into the #1 spot again. Smooth, almost creamy, with classic dark fruits (cherry), dark chocolate and earthy, leathery finish. Perfect with our Chateaubriand 👌🏼 — 4 months ago
Back drinking after a month off!
Great wine to get back in the saddle. Continuing our Vosne-Romanee obsession.
Unsurprisingly, dominated by red fruits (red currants, red cherries) with a smooth, concentrated finish.

Dug out of the wine fridge for a night in….
An excellent wine and everything we love in fine red Burgundy, concentrated fruit, long finish, light and smooth at the same time. Will need to restock! — 2 months ago
The Echezeaux journey continues….Grand Cru, slightly lighter, more delicate, red fruits, hint of pepper, even some vanilla/toffee 🤷🏼♂️
In summary, really good 👍🏼 — 6 months ago
Experienced this producer last year and wasn’t a fan but everyone deserves a second chance….Mr Prieure is redeeming himself…..Sommelier was a big fan too, recommending this over some other big names…..tasting notes: very light and delicate, scents of pickled cucumber (yes, really) and rhubarb. Not our usual deep berry concentration, this one is much more sophisticated, and deserving of the occasion and venue! — 4 months ago
Our first time at The Grill and exceeded expectations. The meal is excellent. As for the wine, perfect California Cabernet in the Bordeaux style. Big, smooth, super concentrated with “dark notes” (whatever that means!).
Totally delicious! — 5 months ago

Back exploring Cote Rotie (to go with our steak).
Initial scent of sugary candy (Haribo!) with a long, super concentrated, smooth, dry texture and tastes of red berries.
Strong contender for best wine of 2024! — a month ago
