Beautiful on its own. Outstanding with an aged chuck turned into traditional gulash (braised). Just exploded together with the meat. — 3 months ago
Fucking stunner. I love the Pinot Meunier champagnes they’re so round and just incredible. A beautiful bottle — 3 months ago

I’ve said it before…for Dauvissat, I consistently find Forest to drink pretty much just as well as the Grand Crus, especially after proper aeration. 2020 is a fabulous rendition, open and giving and adding serious weight with some time in the decanter. Pure, textured and expansive with electric acids and layered Chablisen minerality. As it is often with these wines, last glass was the best. — 4 months ago
Bottle seems too advanced. Color more like a 10 year old wine. Unmoved — 4 months ago
Don’t open it yet! Took 11 hours to open up! But all signs point in the right direction. — 4 months ago
Absolutely lovely. Opened 90 mins before and didn’t decant, don’t think it needed it. Finish really may be 1min+. This is drinking meaningfully more advanced than the 1999 that we had a number of months ago - so, drink up, but enjoy. Incredible precision of fruit and earth and excellent acid. Paired with simple chicken thighs crisped and the fat rendered down in a pan and then a pan sauce with shallot, garlic, thyme, and lemon. Delicious. — 4 months ago

So underrated and punching way above its weight class. Bit more delicate and pure than your high end Boudreaux. Perfect for seaside dinners. Great vintage too. — 5 months ago
Love this champagne. I think my last bottle of it
A lot of finesse and very smooth. Drinking from a red burgundy glass.
Has a nice consistent sweetness to it that is balanced by a citrus flavor such that it’s a pleasant sweetness and not sugary.

Quite a deep colour , deep garnet , with a medium wide garnet rim . Needs time to open , quite discreet but quite deep and dark on the nose , with some blackberry tinged , liquorice , dark cherry , earthy sous bois . This opens up after a while to show more floral influences, lighter , redder fruits . On the palate this is quite dense , with a blackberry , dark cherry hint , earthy , mineral with quite grippy tannins . Good volume and density . Balanced acidity and earthy , mineral tinged finish. This needs time and improved quite a lot with air but really needs a few more years in the cellar , maybe come back in 5 years and will last well at least another 10. Promising . — 6 months ago

2003 vintage. Opened (not decanted) and tasted after 1 hour and 3 hours. Perfect cork and fill. Immediate, perfumed nose upon the open as it couldn't wait to escape. Light-medium/medium body. A quiet, simmering intensity throughout. First tastes invited the pretty, berry flavors. Last tastes emphasized delicate tea and earth influences. Feel like another 5-spot might just find it tickling the top of the bell curve. Still climbing currently. 1.23.26. — 4 months ago
