A big wine! Four hour decant was just right for this 1998 edition! — 19 days ago
Deep, dark ruby coloration. Almost black. No translucency. Heavy tearing. On the nose, dark cherry, blueberry, blackberry, currant, tobacco, forest floor and florals. On the palate, full body, lush mouth feel, strong minerality, with jammy black currant, anise, pepper, followed by a long finish of chocolate, forever, and hints of mint. Nicely balanced tannins. Outstanding wine. — a month ago

Very nice. A little more sophisticated than our usual Montepulciano. Incredibly smooth. Easy going easy drinking. Can’t wait for the pasta to be done — 7 days ago
Bordeaux style blend of Merlot (64%), Cabernet Sauvignon (17%), Cabernet Franc (10%) and Petite Verdot (9%). Dark ruby/purple color with a garnet rim. Aromas of dark berry fruit, graphite and dusty earth. Flavors of blackberry, black cherry, ripe plums, kirsch, black licorice and iron. Full bodied, long finish and intensely structured. Beautifully integrated acidity and tannins. Great combination of power and elegance. — a month ago
Ultra sweet nose, concentrated aromatics, focused and tannic, still. Gentle finish but tons of length. Meditation wine or light fare. — a month ago
Excellent w/ my bone in ribeye — 7 days ago
Solid red blend. But sold as full bodied, which it is not. Light drinking. Suitably dry. — a month ago
Excellent medium bodied dry red. Had with lasagna and paired spectacularly. — 2 months ago

Decant and pour. Restrained notes of dark fruit, smoke, leather, tobacco, grilled bell pepper. Taste: cherry, blueberry, currants, crushed granite, truffles. A young wine that I would luv to drink again in 15 years. — 9 days ago
