A deep expression of Cerasuolo di Vittoria from COS as this is their top CdV, the "Delle Fontane", of the 3 they make (Pithos and Classico).
At 6 years of age we have fresh, tart cherry, blood orange, tobacco, and herbs de Provence aromas and flavors.
As usual with top Sicilian wines we have an elegance that aligns with a deep persistence and depth, all the while fresh and in this case powerful acidity. Firm tannins show up on the palate in spades and integrate perfectly into the finish.

It's probably been a year since I've had any COS, and I don't know if it's the vintage or my nostalgic love for this wine, but tonight it was just brilliant. One of the best deals around.
