Classic mature Bordeaux, 2004 vintage, powerful, lots of dark red berries and cherries - wonderful! — 2 months ago
The utterly delicious 2018 Chateau Gloria is medium>full, with an abundance of black fruit aromatics and flavors, a good structure, and a well balanced fruity core with juicy acidity and powdery tannins at the smoothly textured, long mouth coating finish. One of the better values in Bordeaux. — 2 months ago
Aromas of fresh red fruit, petrified, and a slight wood herb scent. Moderate acidity, heavy silky tannins, medium full body, flavors of wet slate, black pepper, and a hint of jammy red fruit — 3 months ago
I loved the flavor and finish of this. Great smell and one of the few deeper reds I can drink without food—but also thoroughly enjoyed it with our surf and turf dinner. Would buy again for a dinner party wine. — 4 months ago
Gingerbread, cigar box, shoe polish, red bell pepper, fireplace, tobacco leaf, wet earth. Balanced and distinguished. A very chic and classic glass. Beautiful in it’s transition from summer notes to autumn. Drink now. — 6 months ago

Clear, pale ruby to purple in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary aromas of raspberries, hibiscus, and fresh strawberries, on the palate, it's dry with medium plus acidity, high tannins, medium alcohol, light body, and pronounced primary flavors of sour cherries, black tea, and pomegranates with a long finish. This wine is simple, but with enough acidity to balance the fruit. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. Nellie liked it with food. — a month ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several hours. The 1998 pours a deep garnet/purple with an opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and some sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with positively charming notes of plum, brambles, grilled Poblano pepper, pipe tobacco, dried mixed flowers, a mix of organic and inorganic earth, fine wood and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and savory. This is about as traditional as it gets and was simply brilliant tonight. Squarely in the zone. Drink now through 2038+. — 5 months ago
Very good Cab — 11 years ago
We had the 2010 vintage on 9/19-20/26. A terrific wine with tastes of blackberry, plum, mocha and lilac. A wonderful bouquet of cedar, eucalyptus and tobacco. Terrific wine from. A great Vintage — a month ago

Opened three days earlier. The 2023 pours a deep ruby/purple color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with significant staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with powerful notes of ripe brambles, lavender pastilles, bacon fat, black pepper, and fine baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. A delightful pairing with Bison ribeye. Young but showing its potential. Drink now through 2043. — 3 months ago
Beautiful, whip-smart Northern Rhône Syrah with blackberry, violets, granite and, after air, a gorgeous olive note running through both the nose and palate. The texture is sleek and refined, with excellent freshness, fine tannins and a long, elegant finish. Not quite as complete or tightly composed as the monumental 2019, but still an exceptional Gonon and a brilliant expression of the vintage. — 3 months ago
