2015 vintage. Château du Moulin Saint-Vincent (Moulis) is probably the second wine of Château Moulin à Vent, an estate purchased by the Chinese group " Bordeaux Vineam" in 2013. A fully mature, soft and pleasant Bordeaux that I found in a supermarket for 8.95 euro. — 4 days ago
2023 vintage. Light golden colour. You can't miss the Sauvignon Blanc on the first nose. — 18 days ago
2020 vintage. The recent vintages of this estate are all worth our attention. This one will need a bit of patience. — 23 days ago
2022 vintage. According to the back label, this is mainly Merlot on gravelly soils ( which in general are more suitable for Cabernet Sauvignon). Rather discrete nose of timid berries and a hint of flowers. In the mouth the acidity is quite pronounced (especially in the context of the warm vintage), dominating the fruit. On the website it is sold at 31 euro (which is ridiculously high compared to 2 wines around the same price I tasted next to it : Aspirant de Beychevelle 2020 and Baron de Brane 2022), but I bought the bottle for 16,22 euro in a supermarket ( which is still not very good value in Bordeaux for this quality). 2023 vintage. This is Château Domeyne, Saint-Estèphe, a 9 hectares estate neighbouring Calon Ségur, that was purchased in 2018 by Vincent Ginestet from Claire and Gonzague Lurton. 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. Eric Boissenot consults. Dark transparent ruby red. Distinctively floral perfume, with blueberries and raspberries lurking in the background, and fresh rosemary impressions after 30 minutes. This could easily be mistaken for Margaux, maybe the Ginestets are a bit nostalgic after selling their Margaux estate Château Boston to Palmer. Also in the mouth, this is more about finesse than power, with subtle, juicy red fruit, fresh acidity and ripe tannins that kick in on the finish. There is harmony and length. Another gorgeous Bordeaux for less than 20 euros. Abv. 13%. — 11 days ago
2015 vintage. Delicious, mature Pessac-Léognan that doesn't break the bank. Tasted better than a bottle I've had two months ago. Abv. 14%. — 19 days ago
2019 Château Les Marcottes, Sainte-Croix-du-Mont. I have huge respect for people who still produce these sweet wines that are difficult to make and unfortunately not very popular. Therefore, kudos to the Boudat family for producing this delicious, well-balanced sweet wine that is sold in supermarkets for a silly price (8 euro!). Abv. 13,5%. — 3 days ago
2016 vintage. Dark ruby with orange rim. This seems to be at its peak now. A complex nose with flowers, red and black fruits, and a hint of rosemary. A fresh and elegant Haut-Médoc with very good length that sells for a song (15 euro). Abv. 13,5%. — 6 days ago
2018 vintage. An unusually high percentage of Petit Verdot (25%), with 60% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark red, with a tiny orange rim. The first nose is not particularly attractive, give it an hour to open up, and let the violet, spices and black fruits take over. In the mouth it features serious concentration and an intense spiciness in a framework of slightly dusty, but ripe tannins. Petit Verdot tends to dominate quickly in a blend, and in this wine it seems to play the first violin, but it's perfectly ripe and therefore it adds to the power and character of the wine. Good value at 16 euro. Abv. 14,5%. — 12 days ago

2022 vintage. Apparently this estate was or is under judicial recovery which might explain why the wine is sold at 5,99 euro in supermarkets. A simple Bordeaux that tastes better than it smells. A little short, but a decent wine. Abv. 14%. — 15 hours ago
