Popcorny cali chardonnay with just enough freshness to counter the 14%. The expressive fruits are mellowing down and some tertiary nuances appear. Lovely wine with a Dutch twist. — 2 months ago
The 2011 Château Fleur Cardinale shows a warm, expressive character with ripe blackberry, blueberry, cherry, and prune notes, complemented by hints of dried fruit, leather, nutmeg, and subtle oak. The palate is rich and velvety, framed by plush tannins and layers of crème de cassis. Despite its age, the wine feels remarkably youthful and vibrant. A touch of alcohol warmth lingers on the finish, adding to its generous, polished style. — 2 months ago
Fresh as a daisy still with juicy red to black fruits. Some garique, sticky licorice, leather and masking it’s 15% quite well. Medium complex and some years left to develop. — a month ago
This wine shows bright, crunchy freshness with notes of alpine cough drops, fresh green herbs, and a touch of petrol. The palate is taut and mineral-driven, layered with lime zest and green apple, grapefruits. A saline, slatey undercurrent adds depth and tension, leading to a clean, mouthwatering finish. A precise and expressive Mosel Riesling with real energy and character. — 2 months ago

Impressive to see an entry level Riesling develop into a wine with serious depth and intensity. Zingy citrus nose with clear notes of petroleum and (over)ripe papaya. On the palate again ripe citrus fruits, lime, lemon and maybe some grapefruit. Some bitters. Petrol is there again and accompanies the wine to a mineral streak aligned with the focused Riesling acidity. Finish is pretty long. — 9 days ago
