On the nose: Intoxicating notes of ripe dark fruit, forest floor, pencil shavings, herbaceous, smokey oak, minty chocolate. Taste: silky, rich, dense wine with dark cherry/plum, dark chocolate espresso, licorice, and a very spiced graphite/sour cherry never ending finish. YUM! Long generous finish with crisp acidity and fine grained tannins.
This was bequeathed to me years ago at a Celebration of Life for a gentleman who was greatly influential and guiding on my wine journey.
A stunning wine from an incredible individual.

2022 vintage. From a 375ml bottle. The St. Estèphe exception that proves the rule. Super-delicate cocoa powder with sumptuous richness throughout. Light-medium body. Cos is an outlier on the right. This is on the left. Nearly everything else is in between, hammer and nail 3D BDX...dry, dirty and distinctive. Excellent quality BDX to woo initiates with. 6.26.26. — 3 months ago

Well integrated tannins, nice rich berry nose and great balance fruit and acidity on the palate. At eight years has still time to mature more but showing it’s there for the long run.
