Tasted blind. Medium ruby garnet , medium garnet rim . Quite classic and elegant, with cigar box , grafite and some dried earth , some slightly toasty notes also . On the palate this shows good balance , fresh acidity , classic blackcurrant , cigar box , earthy touch . Good depth and length , grafite tinged finish , quite correct and no extra sweetness or weight . Good length and a spicy , mineral , blackcurrant tinged finish . Lafite ? Still young , really well balanced. From now and over the next 10 to 15 years. This was actually the Mouton , which was a great surprise, but certainly a pleasant one ! — a month ago

The utterly delicious 2018 Chateau Gloria is medium>full, with an abundance of black fruit aromatics and flavors, a good structure, and a well balanced fruity core with juicy acidity and powdery tannins at the smoothly textured, long mouth coating finish. 2003 vintage. *Full disclosure* Not the biggest Pavie fan as I've consistently found it underwhelming for the commanding pricing and eternally in need of yet "another hour" in a decanter. Great fill and opened with a Durand but feel that the cork (in great shape) would have come out decently easy with a standard wine key. Given my issues with Pavie in the past, brought over two decanters so as to agitate the wine between them four times. Initial pass, good amount of sediment with the vast majority of it caked onto the sides of the bottle. Yay! Great boysenberry/raspberry nose noted during the first decant. Tasted after two hours. Medium body. Some earth, the aforementioned berries and hints of rich chocolate cake, including frosting, on the scene. Despite all the lavished attention and fuss, still suspect this would show better twelve hours later at breakfast with waffles and Count Chocula cereal. High-maintenance for the bean-counters. 9.26.26. — a month ago

2023 vintage. Cabernet Sauvignon (61%), Merlot (30%), Cabernet Franc (5,5%), and Petit Verdot (3,5%). Very seductive nose with cassis, blackberries, and a panoply of flowers, intertwined with the most delicate touch of oak. This is the second wine produced in the new stunning cellar, and the purity of the fruit is exemplary. While it doesn't lack power, it is also amazingly delicate. It may not have the weight on the mid palate of the 2022, but the finish is particularly impressive. The length is incredible. This can be enjoyed already, but it will age gracefully. Moreover, it is a bargain for the quality. Abv. 13%. — 2 months ago

+1 hour decant(decent chunky sediment). A striking dark ruby red color. On the nose: Enticing notes of dark red fruit, pencil shavings, floral, little barnyard funk, worn leather, tobacco leaf. Taste: Silky-smooth, creamy, rich(not your old school Bordeaux) wine with blackberry/dark cherry, currants, licorice, glycerin, dried herbs, dark chocolate and a peppery cedar long dry finish. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2005 pours a garnet color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of cassis, black plum, capsicum, tobacco, horse blanket, gravelly earth, and a mix of cool and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and elegant. Drink now through 2055. — 2 months ago

Dark ruby red, light floral aroma, full bodied and a medium tannins, with a rich, juicy flavor that elevated the beef. Rich black cherries, cocoa spice, orange peel, dark flowers, subois and earthy.
Long generous finish with crisp acidity and fine grained tannins.
This was bequeathed to me years ago at a Celebration of Life for a gentleman who was greatly influential and guiding on my wine journey.
A stunning wine from an incredible individual.
