Aroma of cola and spice with a touch of juicy plum, tastes like drinking chocolate cola through a licorice straw. Outstanding at a $20 price point — 3 years ago

Good balance of acidity and body; notes of apricot (esp skin) and banana. Nice sipper. Interesting pairing with spicy cheese and sausage. Gave the wine a sweeter quality. — 4 years ago
Delectable, fruity with a touch of smoke — 6 days ago
Good backbone with a nose and palate of dried strawberries…think Special K red berries! — 5 months ago
Smells like nibbling cherries in the middle of the woods, earthy, woodsy, dark. Tastes like eating a dark berry cobbler in a wood paneled smoking lounge. Paired so well with white bean dip…the garlic, salt and richness made the fruit get bright and stand out. I’m a huge fan…solid by itself or with a cheese board also. Worth its $40. — 3 years ago
Nothing special but solid Chianti I enjoyed — a month ago
Four years in French oak deepens the ripe plum-ness on the front palate that then mellows into an edgy vanilla. Never had this grape before. Anxious to try with Smokey foods, such smoked Gouda or a bbq-ed meat with sauce. Yummy on its own too — 2 years ago
