Opened too young; lovely and exceptionally made wine. Brickish red/brown. I let decant for a loooong time. Lots of cranberry and red fruit, some herbs, clay, faint cedar and tobacco. The acidity was med-high, but the tannins really softened out with aeration. I'd say this is still developing flavors and will be 95+ in a decade. — 2 months ago

A beautiful shock of garnet, this thin and clear Barolo is lovely, but a little more of a bite than I’d hope for this vintage. The aftertaste lingers nicely (with a light woody flavor), but doesn’t have as smooth of a finish as I’d prefer. It’s still a beautiful wine and love that it comes in a 375 ml bottle. — 3 months ago

Tasted blind . Medium garnet , more terracotta rim . More closed on the nose , some sweet cherry and cedar , orange rind and touch of anise . This is again quite fresh on the palate , some cherry and cedar , cut herbs , anise . Pretty grippy tannins . Reasonable length with good strawberry , raspberry , liquorice tinged finish . Needs a little more time , better in a couple of years and will last well a further 5-10. — 4 months ago

Pretty and quite approachable at this young age. Aromas of rose petal, red cherry, raspberry, and tar. Light tobacco and dried herbs also on the palate, with fresh acidity and elegant refined tannins.

Nice Barolo with lots of limestone showing minerality and brightness. Still a little tight after 11 years, but it’s fantastic with a nice piece of beef.
