I had a bottle of this tonight at a restaurant in New York. Itβs showed delicious notes of raspberries, violet, and some orange peel. It was a little bit open knit for such a young vintage, perhaps not as complex and structured as I would expect, which makes this a βdrink nowβ proposition imo. β 11 days ago
So smooth, tremendous Italian red, acquired at Amani Vino Morristown β 5 days ago
Medium deep garnet core , medium wide garnet rim . This shows very well still with some sous bois , dried herbal hints and cherry . On the palate this shows good freshness , red cherry again, freshly cut herbs , touch of tobacco and black tea . Balanced acidity and lightly dusty but resolved tannins . Good length and presence on the palate , with enough fruit still , good balance and a black tea stained finish. This is at peak , and will probably stay here for a few more years , so no immediate rush, but is unlikely to improve further . β a month ago
Iβm a fan of this Chianti Classico. 5-yr old showing well and a smooth finish. Probably could even improve with more years in the bottle. β 18 days ago
Way more reduction than Iβm used to with this but blew off with time β 2 days ago
Balanced herbs and fruit shine with bay leaf. Still a lot of power. β 22 days ago

Dark and murky ruby color with a slight garnet rim. Aromas of leather, ripe black cherry and a good deal of barnyard funk. Flavors of earth, coffee, mushrooms with a very slight amount of dried black cherry fruit. Finish is a bit bitter but the wine is still well balanced. Exceptionally tertiary with well softened tannins. Frankly, this wine was fine (if you can accept the lower fruit levels) but I was (it was not flawed) honestly expecting more from this highly regarded producer. β 20 hours ago
