Medium ruby , with a relatively wide ruby garnet rim , healthy bright colour . Quite a lot of dried dark fruits , cassis , spiced dried cherries , dried cut herbs , coffee . On the palate this has high acidity and good extract , well integrated alcohol , though it clocks in at 15% . Dried cherry , roasted herbs , cassis , earthy touches . Good length, and quite grippy but fine tannins . Enjoyable this evening but there is no rush this will probably improve over the next 5 or so years and last well over the following 5-10 years . Year in, year out, this is my fav Chianti Classico. To me it captures all what I look for in a good every day Sangiovese - freshness, a bit of tannic edge, juicy flow, a savory sweetness to the fruit. And food friendliness!
Enticing nose with red cherries, a bit of wet undergrowth & turned earth, a bit of tomato leaf, a flowery whiff. Joyful!
Medium bodied on the palate with great energy & flow. The tannins present, a touch rustic, but in a nice way, the acidity juicy & vibrant. Nice depth and long finish.
So drinkable but also has some seriousness to it.

Medium ruby garnet , with medium thin garnet ruby rim. This is quite closed at first , needs some time in the glass . Quite somber and dark fruited , with anis , dry spice and porcini , black tea. Quite meaty and deep . On the palate this is more generous , with quite rich saline edged dark fruits , currants , black tea and porcini . Quite fresh acidity and quite noticeable grippy tannins . Long and really quite intense on the palate , spiced saline finish . Even though there are lots of tertiary notes, there is great freshness and grip on the palate , it’s long and saline. Certainly improved with time in the glass and overall this shows pretty well at the moment. From now and over the next 5-10 years . — 2 months ago

Another excellent vintage of this Sardinian clone of Grenache. Aromas of bright red fruit, dried violets, smoky oak and sweet baking spices. Flavors of juicy red cherry, raspberry and strawberry fruit, cola, tobacco and those baking spices. Long and lingering finish. Crisp, vibrant and refreshing acidity. Full bodied and surprisingly smooth tannins. 14% ABV, but it is difficult to notice. Outstanding value! Thanks for the taste, Kase. — 4 months ago

On the palate this has nice spice and menthol hints , sweet red cherry fruit , ripe tannins , but with good grip, quite gritty with good length . Balanced acidity , touch of alcohol noticeable . Overall quite sweetly red fruit focussed , pure and expressive. This is showing quite well , though still young and fruit focused. Probably better in 3-5 years and will continue to show well over the next 10 years or so . — 5 months ago
