Beautiful nose! Fruit is largely expired but the tannins persist and are much softer than typical Cabernet tannins. Drink this soon! — 21 days ago
Blend of 58% Syrah, 20% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre, 6% ZInfandel, 3% Petite Sirah and 3% Graciano, deep Ruby with aromas of red and black fruits, herbs, spices and floral notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and raspberry with floral herbs, cedar, tobacco and black pepper. Fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, toasty oak, touch of espresso and meaty pepper spice. Good now! — 2 months ago

Beautiful notes of berry, cedar, and tobacco. — 19 days ago
Freshness, alpine note to it, fresh cut herbs, eucalyptus, strawberries, Balsamic, dried figs, sandalwood, cedar, dark chocolate, violets. Beautiful, eternally complex, and so delicate, soft, silky, and vibrant for its age. — a month ago
1999 vintage. Decanted and tasted after four hours. Medium/heavy body. Intense, dark color. Earthy, tannic nose. Plenty of grip and fruit and showing beautiful balance now. Not an Insignia fan but this was excellent and has plenty of quality time left. No rush to crush. 71% Cab, 21% Merlot, 6% PV, 1% Cab Franc, 1% Malbec. 3.5.24. — 2 months ago
Darker fruit and smoke, lower acidity and beautiful tannins. Still a young wine. — 14 days ago
Beautiful subtle aroma from Merlot makes it pretty. Its free spirit nose makes you feel what the wine is going to be about. Drinkable and fresh. Apparently missing weight but it doesn’t miss a bit all the way thru the tasting. The aftertaste is long and very, very pleasant after one minute. — 9 days ago
The 2009 Latour has an open and generous bouquet: a mixture of red and black fruit and touches of graphite and loam. This vintage displays a light marine/brine influence. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity, a firm grip and superb balance. This is very focused, with impressive salinity on the finish that lingers nicely. This is an extraordinarily beautiful Latour. Tasted blind from double magnum at a 20-year retrospective at the château. (Neal Martin, Vinous, February 2024)
