Deep Ruby with aromas of black fruits, spice and dried herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, currants and ripe cherry with cedar spice and forest herbs. Fine firm tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, cedar and earthy character. Good value! — 3 years ago
Time to drink a bottle of my favorite Priorat.
A blend of 60% Garnacha and 40% Cariñena from 110+ years old vines!
Decanted for 4 hours!
From Gabriel glas!
Gorgeous nose with ripe black and red berries fruits, flowers, very fine cedar, authum forest, fine herbal touch, layered fruit flavors on the full bodied palate, impeccable balance, fine ripe tannin, great acidity, long creamy yummy aftertaste! 96 DSP — 3 years ago
Fresh as a daisy, bottle was in tremendous shape. Acid was lively, driving even, and the developed notes were in beautiful harmony with intact and clear fruit. To me the Mourvèdre has really gained hold of this wine. Dry, meaty, loaded with spice. At first fig and soaked prune, but air dialed it back to dried and roasted black cherry, crushed plum, and black berry confiture. Fur, leather, spice cake, licorice, forest, coffee grinds, perhaps even some hoisin mixed in. Complex and layered. Tannins and dryness offer a sort of grit and rusticity that I’m loving. Perfect with simple chuck roast. — 5 years ago
Deep cherry notes on nose with clear color. Opened up 30-45 minutes later with smooth rich Black Forest fruits. Drinking beautifully now. — 5 years ago
It's time for my #FridayCabernetfix. This week it's a fabulously aged Bordeaux from a great vintage.
Beautiful color of dark brown with a wide brick/ orange rim.
Musty nose with blueberries, black currants, light oak, forest floor, wet leaves, earth, graphite, musty cave, white pepper and tobacco.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs. Soft and elegant.
Dry on the palate with blueberries, plums, currants, oak, smoke, earth, tobacco leaf, spices, graphite, bitter herbs, black tea and black pepper.
Nice length on the finish with soft tannins and tangy pomegranates.
This is a great 29 year old Cabernet Sauvignon based red blend from Bordeaux. Drinking very nicely now, with nice earthy notes, but also enough fruits to balance it out.
Very complex and good pretty much right out of the bottle, and doesn't need decanting.
Probably peaking now. Showing enough fruits with nice balance, but I suggest to drink it within a year or two.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot.
12.5% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

+1 hour decant(decent chunky/fine sediment). A splendid dark ruby red color. On the nose: Intoxicating/intense nose of black fruit, dark currants, worn leather, forest floor, coffee grounds, minty dark chocolate. Taste: smooth, satiny, structured, balanced wine with chocolate covered brambly blackberry, tobacco, earth, cedar, black pepper, and a herbal licorice long finish. A medium body old world style wine that shows well right now and should continue to provide more years of enjoyable sipping. — a year ago

Deep Ruby with pronounced aromas of ripe dark berry fruits and earthy forest floor notes, from this hot 2017 vintage. On the palate flavors of black cherry and plum with cacao, cedar, espresso and pepper spice. Fine soft tannins, great balance, complex long finish ending with earthy herbs, fruit and oaky notes. Nice! Small production, 850 cases made! — 2 years ago
Immediately out of the bottle, beautiful dark ruby coloration. Thick and lush with no translucency. On the nose, smokiness, black currant, blackberry, blueberry, and anise. On the palate, full body, mirroring the nose. Still tight. Needs to decant. After decanting, on the nose some notes of forest floor, chocolate and espresso are included. On the palate, notes of florals, smoke, black currant, espresso, vanilla, dark berry and oak. Long finish. Lots of jammy fruits layered with secondary and tertiary notes. Lovely complex wine. Tannins are still strong. Should age wonderfully. — 3 years ago
Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁🦃🍽
Not in love with the style. Glad it was only $55-$60. We’ll see if it pairs better.
For my palate, there is a lot of funk here. The extraction is much more than I prefer.
The fruits are ruby, ripe, tart, somewhat sour; blackberries, black raspberries, plum, black cherries, blueberries cranberries & pomegranate. Edgy, grey volcanics, moist forest floor, cinnamon to stick, nutmeg, pronounced clove, dark spice, tree sap with bark, dry crushed rocks, eucalyptus, mid herbaceous-sage leafing with fresh, withering & candied florals of; dark, red, purple, blue framed lavender. The acidity is ok. The finish just doesn’t seem right to me. The bottles not corked or off. Just not my style or a very off vintage for them. It also shows elevated alcohol burn.
Can’t say the turkey made it better...did get a little better with my homemade cranberry sauce.
This did come around a bit after nearly 5 hours in the decanter, 9.0 to 9.1. Who thought I should have started decanting it at noon. — 5 years ago
Deep garnet red in appearance. Well rounded nose with truffles, forest floor, black currants, smoke and aniseed. Medium plus tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. A lot of red fruits on the palate and very dry followed by some branches, cherries, herbs and some light spices. Long finish. Drink till 2036. — 7 years ago
2nd Ribcap wine. Delicious!
2006 followed the grand 2005 vintage. It was overpriced based on 2005 & critically reviewed as a difficult vintage. I can tell you 06 was overpriced, but still a good to very good vintage depending on the region & producer.
The fruits are classic Bordeaux…nicely ripe; blackberries, black raspberries, very dark cherries, black plum, plum, mix of strawberries & red cherries. Wet, volcanic clay, lead pencil for days, slightly, dry tobacco, dark spices, mix of mostly dry & fresh herbs, clove, nutmeg, some cinnamon & vanillin, volcanic ash, used leather, sandalwood to cedar, forest floor w/ dry leaves, dry river stone, steeped, dark fruit tea, withering, slightly candied; dark, red florals with hints of violets, round, fresh, river stream acidy, a plush, round, elegant, nicely; tensioned, structured, balanced and elegant polished finish that last 90 seconds. — 2 years ago
Nose starting to bloom, dark fruit, tobacco, leather. Dark ruby. Fruit starting to mature, cassis, blackberry and black cherry. Sweet tobacco, leather, forest floor, oak. Acidity strong, tannins chalky but tight. Grippy mouthfeel. Needs air to open up a bit but still lot of time left to go. Gonna save my next bottle for at least 5 years. Nice long finish. — 2 years ago
Opened long before it will actually show its true depth this is still a stunning bundle of black fruit. The oak and cedar overwhelm the bouquet at first, then cassis, blackberry, black cherry, and plum emerge. The palate is rich and creamy with very ripe tannins giving a hint of the longevity this wine possesses. Mint, cigar box and forest floor are beginning to show but many more notes will emerge with time. Lovely wine, classic Napa black fruit. Cabernet with just a dollop of Petite Verdot (5%) and Malbec (2%) for complexity. — 3 years ago
First day of summer holidays, it's pouring, it's cold, it's humid... But there's good wine so we are good.
Nose of violet, red and black currants, a bit of hay too. It's very welcoming as always. The palate is well balanced with red and black forest fruits, a nice width, a velvety mouthfeel until a mid palate with a tiny bit of drying tannins that power up a long fruity and delicious finish. Very biased here, but I love it — 4 years ago

Dark ruby, almost Inky in color with a wide brick rim.
Nose of black and red fruits, tobacco leaf, light oak, earth, forest floor, light mildew, coffee, black tea, pencil lead, black chocolates and peppercorn.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with black plums, cooked cherries, currants, light wood, earth, herbs, light vegetables, tobacco leaf, black pepper, chocolates, vinaigrette and light green vegetables.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 17 year old Bordeaux is still drinking beautifully. Rich, with enough fruits to balance the earth notes.
I did not decant it, and let it open up in the bottle. Drinks nicely right out of the bottle, and much better after 3 hours of airtime.
A delicious second wine. Loved to see the low alcohol level.
I don't see it getting any better from this point, so if you have any, drink up.
I had it blind and called 2006 Left Bank Bordeaux. I'm happy with that call.
A great sipping wine. Well balanced, and good by itself.
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
13% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
