2018: bright nose of blackberry jam. Same on palate with a rich plush body and medium finish. This was better when tasted at vineyard earlier this year but still a solid Cab. — 4 months ago
A soft, almost jammy expression of Pinot. Very soft tannins. Medium finish. Lacking structure for me. An easy drinker! — 4 months ago
This is starting to come around: less vegetal with age. Starting to get notes of dark chocolate which adds a richness to the tart cherry and sage. Really nice with pasta with red sauce. — 7 months ago
2023: a sensual Chardonnay for sure: lush with white fruit (hint of peach). Very round but enough acidity to keep it from becoming flat. Really lovely young wine that pleases now! — a month ago
2004 Reserve: tobacco leaf, menthol, leather, star anise, and earth on the nose. Gorgeous assimilation of acidity and tannins. Almost unctuous really. Red fruits still feel young as wine opens with gorgeous structure and lengthy finish. At 20yrs old, really hitting its stride, so representative of Nebbiolo!! — 4 months ago
2017: for a warm vintage, a little thin when it comes to palatal heft. Finish drops off quickly…but Dark fruit and dark chocolate are present with savory herb. It’s fine, not great. — 6 months ago
2018 Vintage: shockingly approachable right out of the gate. The tannins were nicely integrated and there was a richness and “heft” to the palate that reminded me of Chambertin…but this is most certainly Barolo and not Burgundy — 2 months ago
2020 NV: golden yellow with crusty bread notes on the nose. Really nice effervescent bubbles with brioche and white fruit and a lovely lengthy finish. Outstanding NV juice! — 4 months ago
First tried this at Goosecross. This is an unctuous Sauvignon Blanc of pear and apricot and lesser floral notes. Clean and defined palate. For a Sauvignon Blanc, it sorta slaps! Happy Thanksgiving! — 5 months ago
