Browning grasses, hazelnuts and baked pecans, cinnamon-blueberry tort, black cherry and black currant, wet rose petals, violet-cocoa, and jasmine branch. Tight and young entry still satisfies with spruce buds, pronounced tea leaf, sharp oak tones, cinnamon, red cherry, underripe red currant, pointy graphite; myrrh. Don’t drink ‘em if you got ‘em.

Kirsch-y chocolate, wet violets, espresso, star anise, Saigon cinnamon, seared steak on butter, broken stick cinnamon, biomass is rain, and baked cinnamon apple smells. Subdued in comparison to its nose, the earthy and herbaceous entry features smoky soils, marinated mushroom, dusty oak, dried bing cherry, cranberry sharpness, black olive, date, and dried black currant. Lightest burnt rosemary almost refutes mention.

1992 vintage. Has a smoky bbq note that echoes with dried lychee skin, baked grape, plum reduction, blackberry tart, dark croissant and old cinnamon; allspice and oregano under painting. Low texture and light-medium body shows oaken heart, tart cherry, spindly graphite skeleton, cranberry, red currants, pepper dusting, and white strawberry. Tobacco and cold brew coffee, light leather and violet. Could look better at twenty years, but I was surprised it was alive at all considering tough vintage. Not unpleasant, but lacks the depth and breadth characteristic.

Rye bread with plum reduction, dusty cedar, dehydrated blackberry, broiled blueberry, reflective graphite glimmers, toasted wheat, holly leaf. Baked bing and raspberry with dried plum skin; black currant reduction with all kinds of legs. Sage and dandelion leaf, dried black mushroom, bitter blueberry, graphite gravy, and a side of pomegranate. So fun to taste this legendary vintage. Seems to be in the perfect place now.
