This wine was outstanding. I think it was only six dollars at grocery outlet. It had lots of fruit, lots of body and thickness. And a very strong finish. I went back trying to find some more but they were out. I will definitely be looking for it.It went perfectly with the New York steak. We paired it with. Even if the steak itself was actually not that good, kind of tough. — 6 months ago
Excellent - nice tannins and a good finish. Some earth and dried berries. It was the perfect accompaniment to Friendsgiving and the masterful sauce and meatballs made by the Noces. #barolo #italiandinner #italianwines — 7 months ago
This wine poured a beautiful purple. It has a nice nose. Flavors of blackberry, dried fruits, hints of gravel and graphite. Nice tannins also with an ok finish. As the bottle indicates, it is slightly blended with Syrah and Merlot. It seemed to have a slightly European character which I thoroughly enjoyed. For $8 (!!) at Grocery Outlet this absolutely a rebuy. #sonomawine #californiacab #grocerystorewine — a month ago
This wine was surprisingly light on the pour. The nose was modest and had flavors of some dried fruit like cherries and cranberries. The finish was decent. The wine would be a decent midweek drinker. But it kind of disappointed at my cousin‘s Christmas party. It comes across as almost Pinot Noir, like, without some of the subtle complexities of that wine. I have one more bottle that maybe I’ll break open in a year or so to see if that made any difference. — 6 months ago

Full and satisfying. Nice tannins and dried berry flavors. It went perfectly with the prime New York steak at Hanna’s for my birthday. — 2 months ago
This was a very good Rioja. As other reviewers have noted it required a lot of breathing to come into its own. It has very strong tannins and a good finish. But the fruit flavors didn’t start to appear until at least 30 minutes after opening. A great value at Grocery Outlet. — 4 months ago
Very good wine, for a competitive price at grocery outlet. I think it was $20. It went very well with our Thanksgiving 2024 turkey. Zinfandel is usually my go to to a company turkey. — 7 months ago
May have been past its prime. And unclear if it was stored properly. — 7 months ago

Taste of cranberries and dried fruit. A decent amount of tannins and a kind of dry spicy finish. I think that wine enthusiast Magazine was maybe a little generous with a 92 rating. But this is a great midweek drinker. It went well with the Greek chicken kebabs that we paired it with. And for $5.50 at grocery outlet quite the bargain. I’m a little skeptical of the supposedly $30 MSRP. But a good wine nonetheless. I’ll be buying it again. #grocerystorewine #argentinian #cabernetsaugvinon — 9 hours ago
