Lovely nose of slow cooked beef and heirloom pork, red and black roses, brown bread stuffing, fine tabak, vanilla-in-bread, dusty black cherry, dried black currant and espresso powder. Black olive rounds the palate in a textural wave that intensifies to charred grape gravy, very sharp forest berry, lavender, holly, pine nettle, and sage. Younger offering here but fully integrated and freshly offering dark bark and dark castings with lively fruit and floral punctuation.

A blend of 65% Cab Sauv, 30% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Dark Ruby with ripe fruit aromas & herb notes. On the palate black cherry & blackberry, currant-like, with tobacco, cacao and smoky oak notes. Dusty fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit and earthy mineral tones, just starting to drink well but will last for then next decade+. Tasting Sample!

Early but really nice

Barrel tasting with Jean Michel Comme, their winemaker at Pontet-Canet

Did not disappoint. Slight pear drops on the nose when first opened, but soon disappeared and a lovely ripe and ready wine

Deep purple with a hint of brick. Cassis and leather and meat in the nose. Pencil graphite cassis violet and a little tar. Rich jammy black fruit. Delicious. Serving with Prime grade rib roast. Sorry to have only one bottle

Grym producent såklart men årgången tycks vunnit kampen här. Har riktigt fina beståndsdelar men inget starkt samspel. Lite inne i en tunnel, känns sluten. Samtidigt som riktigt bra täcken dyker upp stundvis, men dovt. Bara vänta och hoppas för de som hade råd med fler flaskor.

Frenchy delicious. Subtle and sublime. Black olive and berries on the nose. Deep black cherry with olive and lead pencil. Medium acidity and long finish. Silky tannins.

Deliciously ripe, young Bdx. Perhaps infanticide. But worth it for burgers and Bordeaux night.
