Great, rich and beautiful. Bought through JAL Mall for ¥9.130. — 18 days ago
A unique wine. Vibrant golden hue, reductive aroma combined with a variety of ripe orchard fruits, saline breeze, pineapple, wet stone. Palate with high acidity, a lingering tannic grip, stony minerality, apple, pear, fresh almonds. I drink the current vintage (which happens to be 2012 this year) with my wife once per year, and have for the last 5 years. Nostalgic. — 2 months ago
One of the best roses I have drank. Clear and elegant taste. Long fruity aftertaste. — 4 months ago
Happy bday to my wonderful wife! This was excellent. Lime and green apple, so fresh and bright, brioche with a tiny bit of pepper. Great bubbles and texture. Love the paper case. — 5 months ago

Very nice! Drinking the 2018 in 2025. Yeasty bouquet with hints of mushroom. Very smooth finish. Very nice champagne! — 3 months ago
2015. Wasn’t sure what to pair with this delicious Filipino rice dish with longanisa, chicken, and cumin crab fat butter (likely a wide range of whites, rosés, and lighter reds would work well), but I wanted to try this Spanish Crianza and it was wonderful! The fruit flavors were enough to complement the sweet sausage and the smooth tannins cut through the richness without intensifying the spice. — 4 months ago
Beautifully balanced with pronounced red fruit and distinct tannic structure. Only purple, red color with a nice acidity to complement red meat. A great wine now that can easily cellar for many years. — 8 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple of hours. The 2020 “Pétalos” pours a deep purple color with a magenta rim and an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with ripe and tart black fruits: blackberries, black cherry, salmiakki, horse blanket, and mixed earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. A crazy, ambitious wine that’s the result of assembling over 300 plots. Between Raúl Perez and Palacios, Mencia doesn’t get much better. Drink now through 2030. — a month ago
Even more fantastic than the previous bottle of 2010 I enjoyed a year ago. Decanted and enjoyed over 7 hours. This was good from first pour but became great and then magnificent over the next 3.5 and 7 hours. It was still full of verve on the last sip! Early only it was more dark fruit but over time the wines softened and became a bit sweeter and rounder. Tremendous length and complexity. — a month ago

Full bodied but not overwhelming. Lots of berry textures and the leather/nutty finish is very smooth. I could enjoy this over a broad array of meat and pasta dishes. — 4 months ago
Happy New Year! I loved sharing this bottle several NYE with my dear friend G. Granny Smith Apple with limestone and tight bubbles! Becoming an annual tradition as of late. — 5 months ago
Beautifully aged, enjoyed in 2024, great balance of dark fruits, mellow tannins, and a touch of acid. Great wine! — 6 months ago
