My first wine from the country of Georgia! While extremely young, this wine has well rounded and rich expressions of dark red fruits - dry and well balanced. A serious wine albeit one better for lighter fare or delicate fish. — 21 days ago
A high quality price ratio wine! Very approachable with soft tannins, dark fruit and sundry oak influences that make for a nice wine. This bottle cost less than $30!! — a month ago
Very rich and ripe black and blue fruits with well integrated and amazingly soft tannins. Deep color between purple and ruby. Very long finish! — 13 days ago
Superbly balanced wine with freshness and minerality supporting crisp Asian pear, apple and soft citrus flavors. Lovely roundness from the oak élevage. Delightful with oysters or on its own! — 14 days ago
A well structured second wine from Chateau Figeac. Lively floral bouquet on the nose transforms into a structured wine with dark fruits on the palate. — a month ago
Still tasting fresh and alive at 40 years! Black fruit present along with mushroom, cedar, and vanilla spice. Tannins are softened but still providing a structure for the wine. — 14 days ago
Amazing! Black fruit, mushrooms, cedar, and spice. I almost cannot believe this is an 82 based on its color and freshness. — 24 days ago
A very perfumed wine reminiscent of a junior torrontés! Not my style! — a month ago
This was a generous gift from a friend who visited the winery and raved about out the wine - I can see why! Very fresh presentations of red fruit that is ripe and not jammy - perfect timing of the harvest! The brightness of the fruit suggests some whole cluster but there are additional layers to this wine. Definite floral hints on the palate, minerality and M tannins that will soften with age. All in all a wonderful representation of Pinot and of central otago. — a month ago

Two years since my last tasting and the 95 is going strong! No bricking - more ruby than garnet. Plenty of tannic structure with lots of tertiary on the nose and the palate. — 7 days ago
