Very good a little earthy — a month ago
Similar to the 2018 but seemingly more fruit. Melon and pear are really dominating, no complaints here. A little fizzante. Strong minerality helps it linger on the palate. Definitely a food wine. — 3 months ago
Young vintage, but give it 20 mins in the decanter and it sings! — a month ago
The fruit for the Oderro Poderi e Cantine “classico” comes from a combination of the Bricco Chiesa in La Morra and the Bricco Fiasco in Castiglione Falletto MGAs. The former being considered Oddero’s “home vineyard”.
Poured into a decanter about 30min before service. In the glass, the wine displays a beautiful ruby color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with very pretty notes of Montmorency cherry, cranberry, pomegranate, a bed of roses, orange peel, fresh sage, eucalyptus and crushed rock. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long, drying and grippy. This is all about balance and freshness. These are quite giving already but undoubtedly have a long life ahead. Drink now with patience or through 2044. — 2 months ago
Other ratings called this “closed” which I completely agree with. The dense flavors took forever to open up. I popped it at noon for a 7:30p dinner of chick pea and potato pasta, and it was still developing. Highly tannic, but so layered if you have the patience. Darker fruits, yet still some tart red cherry, lavender, rose petals, and ashy dryness. Complex, classic Barolo (from my limited experience). I’ll save my second bottle to see how it develops. — 2 months ago

Very dry, high high acid. Leather, smoke, cedar, minerals. Not much fruit. Higher tannins. And a good borolo flavor — 18 days ago

Atomico! 🎉 — 12 days ago
Earth driven wine with loads of dried tobacco aromas, dried rose petal, anise seed and black truffle. Kirsch liquor and cherry pit with vibrant tannins and acidly. Long persistent finish that lingers. — a month ago
Wine is bright red, on nose its red fruits, earthy, oak, dry tobacco, floral. On palate, wine is plum, berries, oakiness. Acidity is medium plus, tannic, its shows strong charachter or nebbiolo and merlot. Firm and elegant structure. Enjoy 2029+. Cheers! — 3 months ago
