Nose - clay pot, thyme and cherry. Main flavors - cranberry. Chewy and lovely!! — 15 days ago
Beautiful and light with just a super light tannin finish. Another great bottle barn find. — 19 days ago
What a pleasant surprise. Lovely drop 👌🏾 — 15 days ago
Very dry, high high acid. Leather, smoke, cedar, minerals. Not much fruit. Higher tannins. And a good borolo flavor — a month ago
Medium Ruby with aromas of fresh berry fruits, floral and sweet spice. On the palate this medium body wine shows flavors of juicy blueberry and blackberry with notes of herbs and vanilla spice. Dusty tannin structure, lively acidity, medium ending with crisp fruit finish. Nice value. Drink now, consistent, no aging benefit. — a month ago
A little heavy, syrupy. — 22 days ago
Impressive showing here with blackcurrants and leather. The finish persists for minutes and leaves you wanting more. Very classy — a month ago
Wine is full bodied, purplish. On nose its violets, black cherries, cheedar, earthy. On palate, its sweet, little spicy, i can taste the brightness from sangiovese buts its more vegal to me. The structure, merlot balanced the syrah so it does mellowed the syrah attack. Long finish, tannic, give it 1 hour decant. Best after 2028.. cheers! 🍷 — 24 days ago
Oh so nice with a perfectly made Bolognese. Not at all too early. — a month ago
I bought and drank a fair amount of Allegrini Palazzo Della Torre back in the late 1990s, and always enjoyed them. First time in the past 20 years, this seems a little softer and polished, a little lower ABV (13.5 vs. 14+ in earlier vintages), this is vinified using conventional fermentation as well as some ripasso fermentation (think Amarone drying grapes on straw mats), and has some very nice complexity and length, very nice!! — a month ago

Ruby in color with a wide brown/ brick rim.
Medium bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing black fruits with wood, earth, vegetables, spices, tobacco leaf, bitter herbs and peppercorn.
Nice finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 14 year old Brunello lost a lot of its fruits at this point. Soft and elegant. Earthy and better with food.
I paired it with a prosciutto and arugula pizza.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
90 points.
