1990 vintage. Last tasted 11.19.25 (9.6)…yes…two days ago! Someone’s gotta do the dirty work. Comparable experiences with the cork, fill and flavors from the 11.19.25 visit. Not decanted. Tasted one and two hours after opening. After one hour open (not decanted)...a 9.4. two hours...a 9.5. Perhaps decanted, surmise it could have touched 9.6 but we'll never know. This specimen slightly more advanced but still ridiculously phenomenal. 11.21.25. — 25 days ago
Opaque garnet/purple.
Nose of black currant, sour black cherry, dry rose petals, forest floor.
Perfectly balanced acid for age worthiness. Gritty to velvety tannins. Opened too soon. Enjoyed over the course of a week:) decades of aging potential. — 21 days ago
Very nice. Bold but not abrasive with alcohol like younger Bordeaux can be. Cab dominant but can tell the Merlot is there too - balanced but you can still tell the cab comes first. Tannins are well integrated. 2014 vintage…could go longer - still youthful in fruit. Drinking great now though. — 24 days ago
Blend of 49% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc, deep Ruby red color with aromas of dark fruits, graphite and earthy herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, currants, black cherry, tobacco and leafy herbs. Fine polished tannins, long finish ending with fruit, tobacco, spice and earthy mineral notes. Just starting to drink now! — a month ago
1989 vintage. Last tasted 3 years ago (9.6). Nice fill. Durand used to open. Cork 95% saturated with extensive bottle rim cleaning involved before pouring. Not decanted. Tight, minty nose throughout along with a decided, lingering zinc note under the tongue at the finish line. Tasted 2 hours after opening. Power but without delineation. Just a consistent, forgettable push. Nothing wrong with the wine...it just needed more air/time and a decant but it wasn't my call. Feel like the zinc flavor would have dissipated/blown off with more time. Good but more memorable for what it wasn't vs what it was. Pity and an entire wasting of what could have been. 11.21.25. — 25 days ago
Ink, plum, pencil, forest fruits, tannins still present, but pleasantly and finely rough, they predict a pretty future. Firm and somewhat stubborn too. Red, grilled peppers. — 4 days ago
Medium ruby , quite light garnet rim . Lightly herbal on the nose , with grafite , cool cassis , some redcurrant , red plum and violet . On the palate quite spicy and more red fruited , red currant , light cassis , red plum , grafite and tobacco touches . Fresh acidity and medium grippy tannin , with a grafite , cool redcurrant , light cassis finish of reasonable length . Quite light in style , a little green , rustic but refreshing and enjoyable. Don’t see this being particularly long lived but drink from now and over the next 10 plus years . — a month ago

Not the best of vintage in Bdx, but the winemaker clearly pulled off some acrobatics here.
Nose displays the usual Cos spice-box signature, along with notes of forest floor, sage and mushrooms. Palate is rich and dense showing no signs of age. Nice mature casis profile links up with brambles and sandalwood. Tannins continue to prop up this outstanding example. — 3 days ago
Oof. This is exceptional. Intense ripe fruit. Rich and textured. Great balance — 19 days ago

Almost 40 years and its still in good shape. Thats a wine that drinks well after 8 to 10 years and might last 50+ in the better vintages. Does not have the complexity of grand cru wines but there is little if anything you can buy in Bordeaux at this QPR. — 7 months ago
In London with Cheryl Nov 2025 at San Carlos Italian restaurant. Was good — 20 days ago

My late grandfather’s bottle. Stored poorly but showing well. Watching it turn from rust and come alive. A little higher acid than expected but not vinegar! — 19 days ago
