Peppery for me. I liked it. Bunny thought too grainy. Didn’t Ike it. At Atlas ATL — 15 hours ago
Ruby in color with medium intensity and a wide reddish rim.
Fresh red berries on the nose and medium in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing fresh cherries, sweet raspberries, light wood, tobacco, black pepper, chocolates, spices, light earth and herbs.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This young Pinot Noir from Oregon is starting to drink nicely now, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Rich and fruity, smooth and spicy. Nicely balanced and complex, soft and elegant.
I've had a few vintages of this Pinot Noir and it is so much better with age. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.

A good quality wine. Good right out of the bottle, and better with some airtime.
Interesting, easy drinking and a good sipping wine.
Pinot Noir grapes were aged in (55% new) French oak barrels for 16 months.

I’ll just commence this tasting note to see if it is accepted. Dense Ruby in colour. Blackcurrant and tobacco notes - ripe blue and black fruits - luscious texture. Anytime I’ve had a Napa (or Washington State) Cabernet I have always been impressed - probably better than most good Aussie Cabernets (and more expensive). Has a good future but irresistible right now. Have the last bottle in a year or two. Interestingly reverse osmosis was used to reduce the alcohol. Now at 13.9%. — a month ago
Ruby in color with a wide reddish rim and medium intensity.
Fruity nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with cherries, plums, light oak, spices, chocolates, dark coffee and peppercorn.
Long finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a delicious Pinot Noir from Russian River Valley. Complex with a soft mouthfeel. Elegant and fruit forward. Drinking at its peak right now, and a little metallic on the nose.

2014. Enjoyed a small splash at the end of a great birthday meal at The Oven!
Such pure stone fruit and honeyed aromas and flavors with balanced sweetness and acidity. — 3 days ago
My review may not be beneficial to all because of my drinking style. I drink the bottle myself over the course of a week. With this Freakshow Cab Sauv, my review changed from the first to last glass. The first glass was strong, thin, and barely enjoyable. With subsequent glasses tasted a developing sweetness and thickness. I realize this is counter intuitive to wines normally being best when being allowed to breathe a bit after opening. Just wasn’t the case for me with this one. Rating was a 6.5 to start and a 9.5 at the end I’m grading with a curve to give it an overall 9. Will buy again based on Freakshow reputation and hope for a better early result. — a month ago
A lovely wine. Luscious cherries, plums, vanilla, mocha, and some cedar. A great wine for the price. Stag’s Leap always makes consistently fine wines. — a month ago
Deep cherry red. Black currant berry and cherry. Leather. Dried herb. Fruitiness M Sweetness M Acidity M Tannin M Silky Bitterness M Body M++ Finish M++ Highly Balanced. Powerful robust structure. Always ready to drink but still have solid impression. It means it still has a potential for long term aging. 1988 vintage. Feminine-styled. Ran into some resistance back in the day with the (re-) emergence of this Château and the massive 85/86 and 89/90 efforts. Eff all that. The 1989 AND 1990 vintages probs the best this Château has ever realized. The 1988 slid in then and performed delicate magick. That cocoa powder and blueberry combo still coming forth with undeniable impressions. Whereas those four “bigger” vintages rocked harder, all four have had more noticeable drop off. This 1988 just doing its best La Mission Haut-Brion/Haut-Brion impression and pulling it off. No rush to crush. 5.13.26. — 8 days ago

We had the 2013 Vintage on 4/17/26. A real good Napa Floor Cab. Tastes of blackberry, plum, mocha and lavender on the finish. Full bodied, well balanced, ready to drink, fine tannins. — a month ago
Enjoyed. Rich liked too. Good flavour and not heavy — 25 days ago
1982 vintage. Last tasted 6.1.24 (9.4) and nearly 9 years ago (9.0). Courtesy of Monsieur @Bill Bender. Sweet fill. Opened with a Durand. Cork 95% saturated. A little reticent in the early going and decanted a third of the bottle to see if that would pull the juice out of a sullen funk. It did, so the remainder got decanted whilst throwing much less sed than expected. Medium body still. Slightly brickish and plenty fleshy with well-integrated complexity. Very pleasant and lingering finish. A great bottle with more than could reasonably be expected at this juncture. Thank you, Bill! 4.24.26. — a month ago

1 hour decant(lots of sediment). A gorgeous purplish garnet color. On the nose: Intoxicating musky notes of dark fruit, potting soil, worn leather, truffles, stewed meat, slight menthol. Taste: velvety, seamless, balanced, intense wine with dark fruit, cassis, earth, tobacco, mineral, herbs, and a chocolate graphite long never-ending finish. YUM! This wine has aged gracefully and has more gas in the tank. Enjoy. — 2 months ago

Brioche, vanilla, and pear with a touch of orange zest. Fun to try the large format wine! They stay so much younger. — a month ago
