The 2015 ‘Georges de Latour’ is another stunning release of this storied wine by Beaulieu Vineyards. Coming from a warm vintage in the Napa Valley, this gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon shows off an inky core, slowly unveiling exotic spices, espresso bean, blackberry cobbler and hints of pipe tobacco that all build on this expressive nose. The palate shows some serious weight and elegance as the wine gracefully dances across the mid-palate. Polished and layered with dark fruits, chocolate, minerals and herbal undertones, the 2015 ‘Georges de Latour’ is surprisingly open in its youth. If enjoying in its nascency be sure to give this beautiful wine at least a one hour decant. Drink 2020-2040- 95

Lovely wine. Composed, refined, fruit forward but not a fruit bomb. Great structure and balance. Nice round tannins and a good finish. Probably underrated. Cheers.

Wow! This is great. Such great balance. Go get some. 95 could be low.

V15. So good . Cocoa and cedar nose. Rich, opulent black currant and plum fruit. Tight, chewy, leather finish. Went well with prime rib.

BV wine dinner at The Tasting Room with winemaker Trevor Durling.
.
Fourth Course: Roasted venison loin, polenta, pickled ramps, sorrel, and fava beans.
.
Most certainly the WOTN, GdL never fails to impress. It’s classic Napa Cab through-and-through with a rich and expressive palate and a nose to die for. Looking forward to trying the 2016 due to the addition of some new clones.
