Really dark fruit and a splash of mint. To quote Led Zeppelin and the legendary @Scott@Mister A’s-San Diego , you gotta whole lotta oak, you gotta whole lotta oak 🎶

Simple light red - low on minerality with good structure — 4 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2012 Rosado pours pink/salmon color with medium viscosity and no signs of sediment or particles. On the nose, the wine is developing with Maraschino cherry, dried apricot, coconut, dill, vanilla, and walnut. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium- tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. Brilliant, soulful stuff. My first experience with the 2012 vintage. I hope there are many more to come. Drink now with patience (maybe even a decant) and through 2037. — 5 months ago
A very nice experience drinking this. Might have been a touch better 5-10 years ago around the 15-20 year mark (and was great around ‘08-‘12) but despite a disintegrated cork is still a very nice wine with a beef dish. Have one more of the ‘01 and will have to open it within the next year. — 5 months ago

Cedar, fruit in the background, coconut?. Mature and delicious — 7 months ago
My second time trying the 2014 Reserva from Muga, this time again a superb example that even in an under-par vintage shows what a reliable wine this is. Chocolate is the aroma that leads from the glass, followed by blackberry, cassis, vanilla, kumquat and fresh tobacco. The palate has great concentration to the fruit, whilst being plush with gentle tannins and bitter orange acidity. — 4 years ago
Mild, dry, delicious...doesn't finish dry. Has some pep for an aftertaste. Love it! — 8 years ago
Medium deep ruby with quite a thin lightly garnet rim. Spiced dark cherry , with some sweet blackberry , raspberry , vanilla , cocoa , earthy leather and grafite . Quite young , dense and compacted on the nose. On the palate this quite intense with quite high acidity , slightly strict with lightly gritty tannins , cherry , blackberry , spiced raspberry , some touches of grafite , dried spices and leather . This is quite young , needs a little more time but is promising with good density , freshness and balance . Come back in 3-4 years and will drink well over the next 10-15 — 3 months ago
Great heavy red — 3 months ago
Good, would buy again. Not too heavy not too light, good aftertaste. — 5 months ago
Single Vineyard Tempranillo from Central Spain. Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas of ripe black fruit, tobacco, wet soil and anise seed. Flavors of cooked black cherries, currants and plums, dark cocoa powder, black olives and vanilla. Nicely integrated toasty oak on the long and plush finish. Full bodied. Extremely complex and nicely balanced. Well integrated and very smooth tannins. Bold and very well structured. Quite satisfying. Outstanding quality for the price. Great pick, Petey! — 6 months ago
C'est chaleureux mais très très harmonieux — 7 months ago
Poured into a decanter about an hour prior to service; no formal notes due to the setting. It has been a few years since I last enjoyed the 2015 and I am happy to report that it is now very much open for business. The fruit is on full display and the oak is much better integrated. The structure is still quite firm but I found everything to be in better balance than it was upon release. This is squarely and its drinking window and should remain that way through the remainder of this decade and likely, well beyond. Drink now through 2030+ — 10 months ago

Took a few hours to open up but lovely bottle of rioja with balanced palate — 4 months ago
Excellent with just a bit of breathing, a good deal at $24 which I do not expect to see any time again soon. A good dinner wine, drunk on January 19, 2026. — 5 months ago
Pingus, named after childhood nickname, deep Ruby with concentrated dark fruit aromas and gently smoky notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and plum, licorice, sweet vanilla spice, well balanced, fine grainy tannins, long finish ending with slight oaky tones. Very Nice! — 6 months ago
Just perfect. Souk. Ordered multiple times. Reorder where possible. — 7 years ago
