Simple but good — acidity makes it better than the $15 reserve TJ’s Barbera I tried recently … but this was only $6? Like it better than last time for sure. Will definitely try again! — a month ago
Earthwormy cherry. Inexpensive. 88. — a month ago
Cherry, herbs, dry chocolatey tannin. This was great with a steak camping in the Sawtooth mountains. 90! — 3 days ago
NOSE: rich, earthy berries.
TASTE: a little more one dimensional than expected, but still quite good — perhaps it is just “subtle” and “young.” Clearly “Wine” with a capital W. Earthy berries as the nose — the fruit became much fresher with air (1-2 hours). Should be much nicer in a few years. 92. — 21 days ago
A little anonymous — maybe over the hill- but tastes like old (good) wine. Still medium acidity — what fruit there is tastes anonymously “red” and like (dried) fig. Thinned out. Some of the stylistic pine. Oldest wine I’ve tried. 90. — a month ago
Intense cassis, super fruity and dense, lovely. Idaho! 91. — 3 days ago
Meh. Either too old or damaged. It’s OK but has no life. — 13 days ago
I would have guessed Brunello rather than Barolo — a little lighter than expected. Granite, rose, violet, red fruit, Italianate acidity - but not overly complex. Enjoyable. Just squeaks into 91. Not a great value for the $35 I paid. — a month ago

NOSE: lactic, yoghurt-y smell … toast. A little raspberry, maybe?
TASTE: like the nose, but good — a slightly lactic and toasty red fruit, the fruit more prominent. The champagne toasti-ness is pleasant and squeaks it into a weak 90. — 5 hours ago
