In a pretty perfect drinking window. I had this with a homemade paella and shared it with a new work friend. Polished, seamless, balanced, elegant. What a wine and vintage combo this was. Wish I had more bottles.

Pop and pour, late night on the porch by the water.
Typical dark and fleshly style with tannins that show this bottle can easily take 10+ more years in bottle. They are coming around and show that this is still better paired with a rich, meaty stew or grilled/roasted meat dish.

Still very young - lots of primary flavours and some evident oak. Based on how my 2005s are doing right now I have high hopes for this in three to five years time, though.

Love love love it. It was drinking beautifully especially after being opened for nearly 8 hours.

Absolutely love this wine. Smooth, silky and very elegant. Bright red fruit and a long finish. Deserves every bit of the 96pts especially for the price.

Delicious as always, but too big for smoked turkey Xmas dinner. With air shows bourbon/oak, black fruits, baking spices. For me, it needs more time in bottle, not for texture, but more for aromatic development.

Still intact. But it’s too ashy and bitter for me.

Better balance and more suppleness on day 2.
