Deep ruby color and great nose. Velvety on palate with rich dark fruits. Soft tannins and a lasting finish. Good blend of Zin, Cab, Petite Syrah, and Syrah. — 15 days ago
Always drinks well. Robust without being overpowering. Dark purple, blackberries, graphite and pencil lead. Fine minerals. A little pepper. — 5 days ago
Good for a moderately priced Cab. I like family owned and sustainable. — 19 days ago
This winery continues to produce some fantastic wines year after year. A rich supple mouthful of the good things that time talent and patience will reveal. — a month ago
A medium-bodied wine with soft tannins. Tasted cherries, plums, and cedar. Great wine, especially for the price. — a month ago
Awesome! Decanted for two hours, but it was much better after four. Lush, rich dark berry fruits, herbs and cinnamon spice accompanied by leather and smoke. — 19 days ago

Always prefer the Howell Mountain, but the Dunn Napa Valley I consider to be a great value, especially at the price these were a few years ago. Great fruit - black and red, minerality, graphite, pencil shavings, black licorice, great structure, nice finish. Solid all around and very nice for a ‘17. — 2 months ago

Decanted prior to service; enjoyed over the course of several hours. This bottle of the 1982 pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core and some rim variation; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears and signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with a mix of tart, ripe and dried, mostly black fruits: cassis, blackberries, tobacco, dried flowers, grilled Poblano, leather, dry gravelly earth, and fine warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin (integrated) and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. One of the earliest vintages of Opus One, this is showing really well at the moment. Drink now through 2042. — a month ago
