This should cellar longer. Maybe another 5 yrs before I try again. Decanted over 3 hrs. Tight in first hour. It needs a lot air now. Many layers and complex fruit. It lingers. Meaty after taste. Dark fruit. Earthy. I liked it very much and look forward to the next one. — 13 days ago
Yum! Elegance and precision. Lacking depth on the mid palate but then it comes back with its evident classy personality. — a month ago
Toasty and warm with only a pinch of sweetness. Parfait! — a month ago
From magnum, the 1996 Grande Année pours a brilliant pale gold color with a persistent mousse. Initially, the wine showed more oxidative notes but it freshened up considerably with air (in fact, a tiny amount was leftover for the next morning and it remained brilliant, racy even!). On the nose, notes of almond, citrus, honey, chalky minerals and brioche. On the palate, wine is developing with absolutely brilliant acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and zippy. The 1996 vintage is simply amazing. Here we are, 28 years past vintage and this bright and full of life! Granted, it’s a magnum, but still. Drink now with patience or enjoy through 2046+. — 2 months ago
Good Pinot. Light easy. Good for a Thursday when your kid opens the wrong bottle. Pleasantly surprised! Better than the Thursday leftovers that it was paired with. Approx 40$. — 22 days ago

Showing dark ruby. Ton of structure. Overpowered by tannin on first open. Will revisit rating in a few hours. — a month ago
Diferent Pinot Noir with a lot of fruit and good acidity — a month ago
Deep Ruby color with aromas of red fruits, cedar and baking spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and raspberry with toasty notes and cinnamon spice. Aged in French oak (about 50% new). Full-bodied, fine soft tannins, long finish ending with fruit, toasty oak and an earthy character. Nice! — a month ago
Decanted but still too young. More powerful and berry than the Ech — 20 days ago
Thoroughly integrated tannins in an aged wine that has started its decline. Dark fruit, vanilla oak and cedar on the palette. Classic Bordeaux on the nose. — 13 days ago
Clean. Nice balance of brioche notes and airy fruit — 4 days ago
Beautiful pure nose. Lacking mid palate deepness at this stage but overall a very nice and well balanced wine. Tannins are well integrated. Closes a bit harsh but this will surely improve with time. — a month ago

Dark and brooding with great rich fruit. Dark plum, leather, cedar, a whiff of iodine. Still tight and pure. Very good. Years ahead. — 8 days ago
