Opulence in a glass and, though beautiful, still an infant at 15 years. Big berries and smokiness! — 13 days ago
Lingering acetone at 26 years. Powerful and elegant dessert wine that goes well with food, too. Drinking well with more upside — 11 days ago
Fresh but sumptuous. Nice balance. Good with carrot cake — 10 months ago
With a short decant , drinking with long finish after a fragrant nose. — 16 days ago
Deep color, no bricking at 25 years. Nice wafting nose, lead pencil on palate, very smooth, a little drying tannins. — 17 days ago

Light medium caramel core , light copper rim. Quite mature , with spiced creme brûlée , saffron , burnt sugar , some crystallised orange peel , desiccated coconut . Slightly monochrome . On the palate this is quite light , with quite high acidity and a burnt caramel bitterness . Medium sweetness only , quite refreshing acidity . Slightly bitter orange caramel finish . Drink now qnd over the next few years , won’t improve . — 8 hours ago
Deep opaque core, thin ruby rim. Deep slightly spicy creme de cassis , blackberry , charcoal embers , grafite . On the palate this is quite intense but has good freshness , and ripe but firm , quite dry tannins . Creme de cassis , blackberry , grafite , crushed rocks , quite saline and fresh in style , oyster shell and sea breeze hints . Well balanced alcohol and good length grafite , saline tinged finish . This is actually quite enjoyable , though obviously way too young , fresh and detailed with cool fresh dark fruit and grafite nuance. Better in 10 years and will last well a further 10-15 maybe more . Really enjoyed the style and balance of this . — 24 days ago

Magnum. In a beautiful spot right now. Fantastic wine — 10 days ago
INCREDIBLE!! 💃🏻🕺. So happy. Store a wine for 10 years and the secret revealed. Doesn’t always happen, but here it did! Intense dark cherry, deeply laced with exquisite cigar, earthy minerality. Lead pencil. Yep it’s true, it is there. Still so intense and vibrant. Perfectly made wine. Should give the winemaker a hug! Great experience. The only bad thing is that I had to drink it by myself. My wine partner is in St Luis and experiencing an Opus One from 1982 😳. Wine, what a wonderful thing. — 25 days ago
Classic. Just classic on the color and nose. On the palate it has finer tannins, lifted acidity, and a long, polished finish that lingers on cassis and earth. One of the oldest Lafite’s I’ve tasted and feels like in last another couple of decades. Easy. — a month ago
