This is an old friend. An old experience I've had before but different. Younger, with more time needed to open but as the wine changes and evolves, its reminiscent to those brunellos of the past. This may not be the most ideal brunello year but it definitely satisfies the experience. Sometimes i wonder if any brunello will come close to those brunellos I had in the past but as the time passes, things evolve and change and maybe youll get glimmers of those brunellos but nothing exact. Well this is the first brunello of this decade of 2020, so we will see what the future holds! Definitely worth another try but after its aged a few months or years. Good nonetheless. — 2 months ago

May 2025: PnP ready, classic Chianti expression, red fruit, integrated enough tannins. — 9 months ago
Well structured and balanced, it displays an iconic ruby/garnet appearance, followed by secondary and tertiary aromas and flavors of woodland herbs, dried fruits and nuts, plus flavorsome balsamic nuances, and interesting red fruit undertones.
Overall, quite elegant and refined; medium bodied, with ample acidity, dusty tannins and a long, satisfying finish. If you’ve got it, now is the time. — 6 months ago

Full body. Even after being open 4 days, loads of power. Amazing wine. Consumed way too early. — a month ago

A World Class single vineyard Sangiovese from the elevated Chianti appellation east of Florence and Chianti Classico.
With a gorgeous, deep garnet appearance, teasing tertiary aromatics and flavors, the earthy 2009 is medium/full, deep, robust, still solidly structured and balanced with ample acidity and light, dusty tannins. — 3 months ago
Medium ruby , slightly wider ruby, garnet rim . Slightly more closed and serious ,spiced cherries , menthol , liquorice and dried rosemary and thyme . On the palate this shows good red fruits , with raspberry , red cherry , spiced red plum , with dried herbs and a liquorice hint . Quite gritty tannins and fresh acidity , saline tinged finish of good length . This needs a little more time , better in 2-5 years and will show well a further 5 or so — 4 months ago

Poured into a decanter about 30 minutes prior to service and enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2019 San Valentino pours a deep ruby/purple color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and a decent amount of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with sensational notes of Bing cherry, plum, licorice, Palo Santo, varnish, balsamico, exotic spices, and a mix of dried under brush and earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose . The finish is long and there is no shortage of excitement. A wine that simultaneously makes you think and fills you with joy. Drink now through 2034. — a month ago
