Smells like red berries, fresh bread and honey, and possibly pear. Complex, yet a clean finish. Yum. — 7 months ago
I am generally not a huge fan of Champagne unless it is exceptional which this is. I have always enjoyed the Blanc de Noirs style as well. Mid copper in colour. Plenty of chalky minerality on nose and palate. Fine mousse- small persistent bubbles - 72 months on lees. 100% Pinot Noir. Also aromatics of citrus and mouldy apple. The next night just as good with fewer bubbles. Much cheaper than Krug’s Clos d’Ambonnay for a similar experience I would imagine although I haven’t shelled out the considerable dosh for one of the Krug’s. — 8 months ago

Very young. Still somewhat unstructured and tannins that need to mellow. But good potential. — 2 years ago

Lovely nose of ripe pear, honey, cake frosting. Pretty easy to sip - round, toasty, decent acidity, slight pleasant bitterness, fresh enough but age showing nicely. — 2 years ago
Broad with a quick bite of cherry-like acidity on the front of the palate and tangy yellow fruit in the mid palate followed by brioche and toast. Beautiful bottle of wine. — 6 years ago

What a great wine! Pinot Noir from the Cote Champenois. Very mineral, with some nice red fruit on the palate. You can taste where a Blanc de Noir gets its profile from in this wine. Great to have this “Grand Cru” with some age on it (9 years). I picked up two bottles up in the silent bid auction of the 2025 Wine on Wheels event. Such a lucky buy. Enjoyed with home cooked grilled lamb, sautéed mushrooms with a Sherry reduction, asparagus and wild rice medley. Pretty good, although probably a touch better with something more along the lines of poultry (roast chicken or duck, maybe turkey). — 9 months ago
Lots of complex aromatics that became even more expressive as the bottle warmed up. Some oxidative notes mixed with bread and flowers. In the mouth this leans to the vinous side. Acid driven which allows it to be consumed through out the meal. Just a hint of bitterness on the finish — 3 years ago
