Deep Ruby red color with aromas of berry fruits, spice and herb notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with notes of oak and black pepper notes. Fine soft tannins, nice balance with acidity, medium+ finish ending with fruit, vanilla, oak and slight earthy spice character. — 3 months ago
This is the best bottle of wine I’ve had from my cellar in years. Nearly perfect. Bought it in 2008 for $30 and one of my great finds. Good lord it was just divine. I’m sure there have been better vintages but I can’t imagine it. — 5 months ago
Great heavy red — 6 months ago
Excellent with just a bit of breathing, a good deal at $24 which I do not expect to see any time again soon. A good dinner wine, drunk on January 19, 2026. — 8 months ago

Mild, dry, delicious...doesn't finish dry. Has some pep for an aftertaste. Love it! — 8 years ago
I could smell this wine for days. Saline, iodine, almond skin, white asparagus. Shimmery aromatic intensity. — 12 years ago
Blood orange and cloves as well as cherries in the nose. A bit of vanilla as it opens up. Tastes of tangerine and clove with a sweet cherry after taste. — 2 months ago
Upon opening, this seemed a bit disjointed, with muted fruit flavors and strong herbal notes. Decanting didn’t seem to help much, but day 2 it finally opened up nicely, with nice complexity and intensity on the palate. Cherry, raspberry, cassis, bay leaf, dried Italian herbs, anise, cloves, vanilla, cedar, earth, and balsamic notes all come through. Really tasty, but maybe a bit too intense. I can see this improving with a few more years of aging so the flavors coalesce and soften a bit more. — 3 months ago

Good, would buy again. Not too heavy not too light, good aftertaste. — 8 months ago
Single Vineyard Tempranillo from Central Spain. Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas of ripe black fruit, tobacco, wet soil and anise seed. Flavors of cooked black cherries, currants and plums, dark cocoa powder, black olives and vanilla. Nicely integrated toasty oak on the long and plush finish. Full bodied. Extremely complex and nicely balanced. Well integrated and very smooth tannins. Bold and very well structured. Quite satisfying. Outstanding quality for the price. Great pick, Petey! — 9 months ago

Deep deep garnet In colour. Very nice aromatics with fig and spice. Balanced fruit and leather rich but poised and refined. Fantastic with our spaghetti and meat sauce made with organic homegrown tomatoes and basil. — 10 years ago

2022 vintage. Lean and mean currently with a thoroughly poor attitude and rejecting any and all authority figures. Needs a 2 year boot camp to set/improve on personal goals and to stop displacing. Could see this going 9.2 in 2028/2029. Pretty minimal oak treatment (for Muga) which gives this a fighting chance of future success. Price is nice. Just have to look past the constant insults and wait for that juvenile record to be expunged. 8.5.26. — 2 months ago
