Ripe dark fruit and blackberry flavors, sweet vanilla, smoke and tobacco flavors are supported by firm tannins. The finish is long and a bit hot. A very ripe style, too ripe to please me, but I see its appeal. Food is essential.

heady aromas of dark berries, vanilla & cocoa butter, and potpourri ~ sumptuous yet airy ~ interesting and solid but nothing I could drink often

Jan 19th, 2016Deep garnet colored and full bodied. Tannins that seem to have mellowed with age but give a nice gripping finish. Drinks well now.

Tremendous value. Full bodied Tempranillo. Dark cherry, slight vanilla (tastes like a combination of American and French oak aging), black fruit, and subtle Asian spice. Tight initially upon opening. With some air, it has an excellent balance of spice, fruit, acidity and smooth tannins.
