Domaine Sainte Claire Chablis Chardonnay 2021

A little more American-chardonnay-ish than I expected — on the savoury side. 89. — 3 months ago

"Cuvée Corcelette" Morgon Gamay 2022

The balance on this wine is amazing. At times it is crushable and others it is so complex and contemplative. Big crunchy fruit, stone, flowers, super long 30 second finish of strawberry fields and cherries. So good. — 3 months ago

Opened this a few years too early. Dark and brooding. Olives, violet, blackberry. Wild and savory. Would love to try this again in a few years! — a month ago

Côte de Brouilly Gamay 2011

This aged Beaujolais is just gorgeous, crushed red berries, minerals, floral, great acidity, long, lingering finish, could easily evolve another 5 years in a cold cellar, truly an outstanding wine from a great Beaujolais vintage!! — 2 months ago

Needs air but so freaking good. Ripe apricots, nuts, marzipan, stones, lemons. Really good. Keeps evolving. Will see where it lands later. — 3 months ago

Vigne de l'Enfant Jésus Grèves Beaune 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2009

Just a lovely burgundy. At 15+ years this has evened out. Not overly distinctive in any one register, and actually the tannins are definitely still present. But light on its feet with good depth and acid. — 2 months ago

Côte du Py Morgon Gamay

This wine is a mouthful. Just exploded in the mouth of minerals, iron, cherry/ raspberry and some dusty tannins to close. Keeps evolving. Prob should have decanted it from the start. — 3 months ago

Jean Foillard

Cuvée 3.14 Morgon Gamay 2006

This wine comes from a time when natural wine was still a revolution, not a trend. Foillard, one of the Gang of Four, took Gamay to wild, expressive heights with deep structure and an earthy sensuality which entices any wine lover. Twenty years later this wine is a testament of passion; on the palate the wine is so harmonious it decimates in your mouth like the most beautiful time lapse you’ve ever experienced. Great wine. — 4 months ago
