Honeyed medium yellow to the sight, true to its age. White floral and lemony vibrant notes dance on my nose. A touch reductive on the initial sip, the palate opens up with time to showcase classic mineralite and a vibrant fruit core with notes of citrus and to a lesser extent, stone fruits. Lovely weight with great mouth caressing viscosity and silkiness. Definitely in a good drinking window with no sign of fading and evolving in the glass over a lovely 2 hour Cantonese cuisine dinner. 2001: so silky! A wine that has so much complexity and the smoky meatiness and mint was so intriguing! Just wow! — 8 days ago
1995 vintage. Not decanted. Appropriate color. Good fill and cork. Beautiful, integrated nose. Flavors same. Medium-medium heavy body. Dark fruit, earth and spice coalescing into a unified experience now. This is at the top of the bell curve for the next half-decade and probably longer. Still, undeniable power under the hood and completely bewitching. 05.28.25. — a month ago
2006: served blind. Thought this was mature right bank Bordeaux. Really intriguing! Funky and rich: Pommard the brutalist! — 10 days ago

2013 vintage. Sweet fill and cork. Trashy label. Slightly less sed than expected. Big nose on the decant. Tasted after 1 hour open and 5 hours open. Medium heavy body. Roasted nuts, earth, plummy fruit and grilled beef nose and flavors. Finishing palate added a finely ground black pepper note. Consistent throughout and absolutely delicious. 05.23.25. — a month ago

1975 was one of the worst Burgundy vintages. This La Tache, light, aromatically brilliant, balanced with a weak mid palate and a non existent finish was still a good lunch wine. Slow oxed for 30 minutes prior to drinking — 19 days ago
