This is perhaps a little closed right now. Syrah-dominant with a fair bit of oak-treatment so will need a little while to blossom. Although it had the mellow character of an early-drinking wine, the winemaker told me that it needs 15 years to show its best. In fact, when I told him the 2006 I opened the other week seemed a little closed he told me to forget about it for another 10 years. Clearly one for the long-haul. — 8 years ago

Checking in on this one. Purchased a case for the restaurant 2 years ago and it wasn't ready. Now it's beautifully subtle, quiet and peaceful as the place it comes from. I want to sleep naked in a bed with sheets that have the same texture as this wine. — 9 years ago
Really dig the juice. Love it's nuttiness. Definite fennel, lavender. A perfect example of a wine that speaks quietly, but has a lot to say. — 10 years ago
Tart green bananas and lime. Weighty, well rounded, and quite an extraordinary chasselas. — 11 years ago
Sparkling Chasselas very limited and like many things that are hard to find the reward is great — 13 years ago

YES. Wow does this wine stand out and transport you. This super rare grape screams of cedar smoke, like you're sipping a dry earthy skin contact next to a bonfire looking over the mauve mountain ridges of the valley. Everything I could want in an orange wine with the added smoky kick. Delicious. — 6 years ago
