Medium light salmon pink . Lightly red fruited , strawberry, raspberry , creamy notes as well, touch of baked bread . Some cranberry and redcurrant hints . On the palate quite rounded and fruited , red currant and cranberry , slight toasty , mineral note on the finish . Quite high , piercing acidity , good extract and length . October 2020 disgorgment is always so perfect, a particular favorite, with immense depth of red berry fruit and chalky minerality, a chiseled palate with singular texture and a finish that keeps on going. VO base with a touch of still Pinot from Francis Egly. Nothin’ like it 👑 — 5 months ago
Very nice! Drinking the 2018 in 2025. Yeasty bouquet with hints of mushroom. Very smooth finish. Very nice champagne! — 3 months ago
Tasted over Christmas 2024. My first time trying Pol Roger, and a really great experience – this was a tick above many of the Grandes Marques and I found it to be quite refined. I suspect the dosage is fairly high, since it was so very drinkable, but no complaints from me! — 4 months ago
October 2014 disgorgement. Based on 2011 (80%?). Balance 2010/2009 split evenly. 50% chard 50% pn — 6 years ago
Happy bday to my wonderful wife! This was excellent. Lime and green apple, so fresh and bright, brioche with a tiny bit of pepper. Great bubbles and texture. Love the paper case. — 4 months ago
Pale gold color in glass. Yeasty notes up front that dissipate with bubbles, light citrus, soft green apple and wet stone on the nose. Palate is delightful, prominent salted lemon peel at the forefront, green apple, precisely balanced acidity and dosage. Sometimes there’s no substitute for quality #grandcruchampagne — 7 months ago
