Blend of 83% Tempranillo, 9% Graciano, 6% Mazuelo (Cariñena) and 2% Garnacha, grapes and various plots fermented separately, aged for 20 months in American oak, then blended. Deep Ruby color with aromas of ripe black fruits and floral spice notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and plum with notes of leather, vanilla and oaky notes. Cherries, black licorice and smoke on the nose.

Stunning. Delicious. One of my fav wines of the last 1.5 years. Godello aged under flor that competes with white Burgundy/ Sonoma Coast chards that cost double. Sourced from two tiny plots of 80-100 yr old vines. 80% old foudre, 20% amphora under flor, no malo, no stirring. This blew me away on the first sip - dark fruits, elegant, balanced, not too much oak, full-bodied and smooth, at $19 this is an amazing value. Excellent with cheese and chacuterie but could easily pair with a main (red meat) as well. — 2 months ago
