Sour cherry; woodsy; spice mix of cloves and cinnamon. Well integrated and restrained. This is great stuff and a great value at the price. — 7 months ago
Tons of red and dark fruit. Mainly cherries and a bit of raspberry and spice. — 9 months ago

Tried the '90 recently, spoke of how amazing a producer of Californian Cabernet it is, but just needed a little more time, this '85 is well & truly on point, everything is in balance, there's fruit intensity yes, but the development/complexity/layers are really shining through, outstanding stuff. — 9 years ago
Ooh la la! Fantastic crisp apple-pear fruit laced with a streak of minerality and beautiful richness and length. Lovely now and sould last another 5+ years. — 10 years ago
Brian’s favorite. Very smooth, but not as much taste as you might want — 5 months ago
Really interesting Pinot. This wine is very young and should age very well. Deep ruby color lots of fruit and a lot more tannins. When I opened the bottle the tannins were over bearing and had a grassy aftertaste. When I tasted the same bottle the next day it was FAR more balanced. The fruit was still great but the tannins were much softer and well balanced. This wine can hold up to more cellar time but if I had decanted it would have been better. While this wine was pretty pricey ($100), I think it is worth it! — 8 months ago

Light ruby hue. Aromas of cherry, cream, grass, minerals, and smoke. Medium-light body, soft tannins, and plus acidity. Bright and balanced with a lasting finish. A little tight at first, but softens after opening a while with hints of vanilla on the palate. — 3 years ago
Cherry, raspberry, strawberry, lemon candy, slate and hints of stone fruit. Great acidity and balance. — 7 years ago
Love this rosé. Killer with BBQ. — 10 years ago
Very pleasant, soft tannins — 5 months ago
2020 vintage. A fave CA chard and producer. Medium-medium heavy body. Tasting slightly more tropical and advanced with less acidity than usual. Still absolutely delicious tho. Would like to retaste and reevaluate in 5-6 months tho. Based on 30 vintages of tasting this particular wine, betting it reconciles any tawdry, fleeting concerns that occupy my compromised palate and right quick. 01.22.25. — 7 months ago
Love me some Kutch! Great acid, lemon curd. — 8 months ago
Based on day 2. I really enjoyed this as it opened up. Great texture with lemon curd, stone fruit, marzipan and lively acidity. So well balanced. — 9 months ago

39.97 from new season. Balanced. Round. Worth the price. Would buy again — 6 years ago
Paired well with a lamb, eggplant purée, fava beans, piquolo pepper. Would also pair with a medium rare magret duck or other game. — 10 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Ruby red color with red fruit aromas and gentle floral spice, aged for 11 months in 30% new French oak. On the palate flavors of black cherry and raspberry with notes of herb tea, spice with wet stone notes. Fine dusty tannins on a long finish ending with fruit, herbs and savory earthy mineral notes. Very Nice, will age, tasting well now! — 5 months ago
