The prefect compliment for Halibut tonight; floral and light with good acidity to pair with food — 3 months ago
Drinking alongside the Sliver, the ‘21 Chalk Hill comes across as richer and more extracted, offering dense layers of blackcurrant, blackberry paste, dark chocolate, and roasted herbs. The palate is deep and mouth-coating, showing ample oak sweetness and firm tannins, but the concentration slightly outweighs its sense of balance. Power and ripeness dominate, giving a bold, muscular Bordeaux style expression. — 4 months ago
Tried this on a recommendation. Thought it was pretty balanced. Not too sweet & didn’t have a bitter bite on the back. Easy drinking! — 5 months ago
One of the best rose. More floral than berries, semi dry, — 6 months ago
People who think rosé wines can’t be good need to try this one. Delicious. — 6 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2012 Rosado pours pink/salmon color with medium viscosity and no signs of sediment or particles. On the nose, the wine is developing with Maraschino cherry, dried apricot, coconut, dill, vanilla, and walnut. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium- tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. Brilliant, soulful stuff. My first experience with the 2012 vintage. I hope there are many more to come. Drink now with patience (maybe even a decant) and through 2037. — 4 months ago

Some lift on mid-palate with acid on finish. I’ll allow it. — 5 months ago
