Even more fantastic than the previous bottle of 2010 I enjoyed a year ago. Decanted and enjoyed over 7 hours. This was good from first pour but became great and then magnificent over the next 3.5 and 7 hours. It was still full of verve on the last sip! Early only it was more dark fruit but over time the wines softened and became a bit sweeter and rounder. Tremendous length and complexity. — 2 months ago
Truly Sublime and drinking well 42 years old. — 2 months ago
Last bottle. Time to drink is now, don’t think this will improve from here. Needed a bit of air to come together, but overall remained somewhat muted. — 20 days ago
We could not believe this was 1996. Young gorgeous fruit in a wine I tasted blind that I thought might be 2009. Gorgeous… a revelation about what a nearly 30 year old Bordeaux could be! Wow! — a month ago
Merlot dominant in a left bank. Rare but definitely an experience. Plush wine with good tannins and a great evolving flavor. Black currants, touches of plums, graphite and a wine that evolves throughout the experience. An age worthy wine. — 2 months ago
Blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon & 28% Merlot, aged in new oak. Deep Ruby color with aromas of ripe berry fruits and floral and earthy spice notes. On the palate flavors of blueberry, cherry and blackberry with espresso, tobacco and toasty oak notes. Long rich finish on soft juicy tannins, drinking well and still has room to age. Very Nice! — 4 months ago
2009 vintage ( half bottle). Looks more evolved than the 2010 tasted alongside. But it is also much more complex. Intense perfume showing an abundance of noble rot, with roasted nuts, pineapple, honey, and a hint of thyme. Concentrated and layered, perfectly balanced and very long. Seems to be a notch above the 2010 today — 8 months ago

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish/ brick rim.
Fruity nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate and complex.
Showing black currants, black plums, cherries, spices, dark chocolates, earth, tobacco leaf, herbs and light forest floor.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a fabulous 18 year old Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Saint Julien. Rich and balanced. Elegant and fruit forward. Chocolaty and spicy.
This First wine from the 4th Growth is drinking beautifully now, and not showing that much age. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
I had the 2005 vintage not too long ago and this 2007 vintage is drinking better now. Well balanced and complex.
Good by itself as a sipping wine, and will pair nicely with a big piece of steak too.
A blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc.
13% alcohol by volume.
